Is the KTM RC 890 worth the extra money for a middleweight sport bike?
16 January 2025 06:30It depends on what you value. Go for it if you want the latest tech and you don’t mind paying for it. It's not great if you're on a budget.
-
Reliability-wise, how does the KTM RC 890 compare to its Japanese rivals?
16 January 2025 06:30The RC 890 requires more frequent maintenance in my experience than my old Yamaha, but that’s not a deal breaker.
-
Does the KTM RC 890’s aggressive riding position justify its performance gains?
16 January 2025 06:30Absolutely worth it. There is no other car that can offer you more control in corners. If you end up being out for a long ride, you can do some stretches.
-
For taller riders, how does the KTM RC 890 handle?
16 January 2025 06:30It may take some time to fit for tall riders, but there are a ton of aftermarket options to make it fit better.
-
Does the KTM RC 890 make too much bike for everyday riding?
16 January 2025 06:30It's all about self-control. It’s perfectly fine for daily rides, but if you can’t resist the urge to go full throttle all the time, it’s not for you.
-
Anyone have any thoughts on how good the quickshifter is on the Duke 790?
16 January 2025 06:22Upshifts I love it, but downshifting takes some getting used to with the auto blipper. I still like to use the clutch going down.
-
Anyone have any thoughts on how good the quickshifter is on the Duke 790?
16 January 2025 06:22It took a software update to get mine working, but now it works flawlessly. It definitely improves the riding 'feel' of the bike.
-
What do Duke 790 owners think of the bike’s styling?
16 January 2025 06:22It has perfect styling for the character of the bike. It’s aggressive, modern and a little unconventional – just like the way it rides.
-
So what is the deal with KTM reliability on the Duke 790?
16 January 2025 06:22I think the reliability issues are blown out of proportion. They're not Honda reliable, but they're not falling apart left and right either.
-
How does the Duke 790 shape up against its Japanese middleweight rivals?
16 January 2025 06:22The 790's electronics package is way ahead of the Japanese offerings. It’s worth the added expense for the TFT display, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes.

User Reviews for KTM RC
KTM RC 490
I am loving the power and performance –the engine growls in a way that makes my heart race. But the fuel efficiency is disappointing but I feel like I am at the pump too often. And that seat height? Not for the faint-hearted! If you are shorter, you might find it tough to manage.
