Does the NS160 live up to Bajaj's "Fastest Indian" legacy?
30 January 2025 09:53
The NS160 is more about handling than straight-line speed. It might not be the fastest, but it's definitely one of the most fun to ride in its class.
Is the Pulsar NS160 really worth the hype?
30 January 2025 09:53
The hype is justified if you're into sporty looks and handling. But for pure commuting, there are cheaper options that do the job just as well.
Is the NS200's maintenance a headache?
30 January 2025 09:49
It’s a bit of a headache, especially if you’re unlucky. The clutch cable has snapped in the past and the engine gets too hot. The frustration with Bajaj's service centers is that they are hit or miss. It's not awful by any means but it just needs a lot more TLC than some other bikes I've owned.
In heavy traffic, how does the NS200 fare?
30 January 2025 09:49
Not the best, not the worst. When you stop and start all the time, the weight is noticeable. It makes up for it, though, with the commanding riding position and good low end torque. If you want a bike that can do both city traffic and weekend riding duty, I'd say that's a good compromise.
Is the hype around the Pulsar NS200 justified?
30 January 2025 09:49
When it was launched, the hype was justified, but it feels a little long in the tooth these days. To compete with newer bikes like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V or the Yamaha MT 15, Bajaj has to give it a serious update. It's not the cutting edge bike it once was, but it's still a good bike.
Does the NS200 hold up on long rides?
30 January 2025 09:49
A jack of all trades, a master of none. The NS200 can do long rides, but it’s not designed for it. It also has a small fuel tank, so you stop quite often and the vibrations can become tiring after a while. Being okay with occasional weekend trips, but I wouldn’t like the touring extensively.
Does the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 live up to the hype?
30 January 2025 09:44
The NS160 is honestly a bit too overhyped. Don't get me wrong, it's a good bike, but there are better bikes in the market now. As far as performance is concerned, Yamaha FZ-S and Honda X Blade perform on similar lines, but in terms of build quality the later is better. The NS160’s USP was its sporty character, but rivals have caught up since.
How reliable is the Pulsar NS125 in the long run?
30 January 2025 09:41
My NS125 is now over 30,000 km old and it's been rock solid. I've had no major issues, but I’m big on regular maintenance. The build quality has been really improved by Bajaj.
How does Pulsar NS125 fare in city traffic as a 125cc bike?
30 January 2025 09:41
In city traffic the NS125 is a beast! The nimble handling makes squeezing through gaps easy and, combined with the torquey engine, means you can zip away from the lights quickly. The better than most other 125s I’ve ridden.
Should the Pulsar NS125 be the new kid on the block, or is it worth the extra cost over more basic 125cc commuters?
30 January 2025 09:41
Honestly, I don't think so. For instance, if you’re only going to use it for commuting, something like Honda Shine or Hero Glamour will work just as well for lesser money. Save the cash, for fuel or gear.
How does the Pulsar NS125 fare for longer weekend rides?
30 January 2025 09:41
The NS125 has been great, I've taken it on plenty of weekend rides. It's comfortable enough to sit in for a few hours at a stretch, and the engine has enough pep to take care of highway overtakes.
The Pulsar NS125 is a good bike for beginners?
30 January 2025 09:41
I would say it's not ideal for total beginners. Someone just starting out may find the sporty ergonomics and relatively powerful engine for its class a little bit much. Maybe look at something like the Platina or Discover first.
Does the Pulsar N250 live up to the legacy of the Pulsar 220F?
30 January 2025 09:34
The N250 is the bike for now, but the 220F was ahead of its time. It's more practical for daily use than the 710 because it is better efficient, has subtle smoother engine and is modernized.
How does the Pulsar N250’s engine refinement compare to its Japanese rivals?
30 January 2025 09:34
I'd say it's pretty close. This engine is really something that Bajaj has turned up a notch or two. It's smooth enough to ride day to day, and it doesn't feel buzzy like older models.
So, does the Pulsar N250's LED headlight live up to the hype in real world conditions?
30 January 2025 09:34
I also added auxiliary lights to go along with the stock LED. Together, they're awesome. The stock light is just alright, not game changing stuff.
Is the 2 channel ABS on the Pulsar N250 overkill for a 250cc bike?
30 January 2025 09:34
No, not overkill at all. It doesn't matter what engine size, safety should never be compromised. With the 2 channel ABS you have that extra bit of confidence when the emergency situation comes up or in wet conditions.
Does the extra weight of the N250 make it less agile than the NS200?
30 January 2025 09:34
I was worried about the weight coming from the NS200 but after a few rides you get used to it. The N250 doesn’t feel cumbersome, but it does feel more substantial.
Can the Pulsar N250 be modified and customized well?
30 January 2025 09:32
The mod options are a little disappointing, to be honest. Perhaps because it's still a relatively new bike, but I'm not seeing the same aftermarket support that older Pulsars were enjoying. As a result, it feels like we're limited in what we can do, particularly performance wise.
Is the Pulsar N250 a good touring motorcycle?
30 January 2025 09:32
It’s a compromise, let’s be real. As far as weekend getaways and short tours go, it’s good enough, but if you are serious about long distance riding, you’d be better off with something like the Dominar 400. What the N250 just doesn’t have is the extra oomph and features for hardcore touring.
How does the Pulsar N250 handle compared to its competitors?
30 January 2025 09:32
As the N250 came from a KTM Duke 200, I was expecting to be disappointed with the handling. But I was pleasantly surprised. It's not as razor sharp as the Duke, but it's easier to live with day to day and is more forgiving.
