Will the cannibalization of the Bajaj Dominar 400 sales happen by Bajaj Pulsar RS400?
31 January 2025 10:34
There will be a big hurdle to overcome when it comes to brand perception. If the RS400 is as good as the RC 390, then there will always be people who will treat it as just a Pulsar and not a premium bike.
Will the cannibalization of the Bajaj Dominar 400 sales happen by Bajaj Pulsar RS400?
31 January 2025 10:34
It's not just about performance. The RC 390 has a good racing pedigree and there is aftermarket support. If Bajaj really wants to compete, they will need to build an ecosystem around the RS400.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
To be honest, I believe the hype is deserved. If Bajaj has been killing it with its Pulsar line, then, the RS400 seems like the next logical step. The smaller Pulsars have delivered the same performance and value, so if they can do the same here, it could be a winner.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
I'm skeptical. At the lower end, Bajaj is great but at 400cc it is a big jump. They will be up against some serious players and I don't know if they have the expertise to match the refinement of bikes like KTM RC 390.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
That really depends on the price point. The magic will be if Bajaj can undercut the competition significantly, while offering similar performance. However, if it is priced too near to other established brands in the market, it may not have a place.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
I think people are overhyping it, they want to lay the baby with the bathwater. It's a nice bike, sure, but I have my doubts that it will be the revolutionary machine people are expecting. As a relative newcomer to the big bike game, Bajaj have no doubt got some teething issues.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
I’m a Pulsar fan and love the RS400. Bajaj has always given great value and I think they have learned a lot from their tie up with KTM. It would be an awesome bike at a killer price if they can bring some of that knowledge to the RS400.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
We should not forget that Bajaj has been consistently improving their build quality and refinement. It is the RS400 that could give them the chance to prove they can compete with the big boys. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 worth the hype?
31 January 2025 10:34
The question is whether it can find its own niche. It must be unique and different from the budget options and the premium brands. That hype will be justified if Bajaj nails that balance.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
I’ve done a few 300km day trips on my RS125 and have found it comfortable enough. The seat is ok for a sport bike and the fairing gives decent wind protection.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
There is no way I would tour on this bike. An hour or so in the aggressive riding position gets uncomfortable. This is really more for short rides and commutes.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
It's all about expectations. It is reasonably comfortable for a 125cc sport bike. If you’re used to bigger touring bikes you will surely feel its limitations.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
I find it acceptable for light touring. Couple that with a tank bag and a small tail bag and you can do weekend trips. You won't get Gold Wing comfort, but don't expect it.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
It can easily be made touring friendly with a few mods, such as a gel seat cover and adjustable levers. It’s a good platform to build upon.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
I’ve toured on mine and it was fine. But the fact is that I really don’t have another bike to ride so while it’s not ideal, if it’s your only bike, yes you can make it work for longer rides with a little bit of planning.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
Long rides are the deal breaker for me due to vibrations. My hands grow numb after a couple of hours. Good for commuting, not so good for touring.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?
31 January 2025 10:18
It is more comfortable than you would think for a sport bike, but not as comfortable as a dedicated tourer. It’s a good compromise for most riders for occasional longer rides.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?
31 January 2025 10:18
My experience is that the RS125 is as close as you get to the claimed efficiency if you ride sensibly. In mixed city and highway riding I always get around 55-60 km/l.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?
31 January 2025 10:18
There is no way in real life it hits those numbers. Even riding conservatively, I never got more than 45 km/l. Bajaj's claims are definitely optimistic.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?
31 January 2025 10:18
The RS125’s strong point is probably the fuel efficiency. With spirited riding, it is noticeably more efficient than my previous 150cc bike.
