Our take on this /// Verdict

The GSX-R1000 is a powerful and feature-packed supersport motorcycle. Powered by a strong inline-four-cylinder engine, it also uses state electronics and technology. It's also simple to use within the municipal limits, albeit a more extensive service network would be preferred.

Suzuki has updated its international portfolio with unveil of 2024 models. Amongst the refreshed motorcycles is its litre-class sportbike, the GSX-R1000. While this road-legal track tool has remained unchanged on the mechanical front, Suzuki has bestowed the GSX-R1000 with new paint schemes.

Thursday, 29 August 2024 09:18 PM For the 2025 model year, Suzuki has announced that the GSX-R1000, GSX-R1000R, and GSX-R1000RZ will remain mechanically unchanged, with the last major update having been in 2017. However, the bikes will feature new color schemes, including a Candy Daring Red and Glass Sparkle Black, and a Metallic Matte Sword Silver with blue graphics. This lack of mechanical updates might disappoint some enthusiasts, but the new colors could attract fresh buyers. I believe the consistent performance and reliability of these models will still make them appealing to many riders.
Friday, 14 June 2024 08:24 AM Suzuki has equipped the 2025 GSX-R1000 with advanced electronics, including a bi-directional quick shifter, an Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU), and a ten-mode Motion Track Traction Control System. These features enhance the bikes performance and rider safety, making it a strong contender in the sportbike segment. The IMU provides critical data to the Engine Control Module, allowing for precise adjustments to the engine and chassis. I think these technological advancements will significantly improve the riding experience.
Saturday, 15 June 2024 12:24 AM The 2025 Suzuki GSX-R1000 boasts a 999cc DOHC inline-four engine with Suzukis Variable Valve Timing system, which offers strong power delivery across a broad rpm range. The bike also features a lightweight aluminum twin-spar frame and advanced Showa suspension, contributing to its nimble handling and high-speed stability. The aerodynamic bodywork, designed through extensive wind tunnel testing, further enhances its performance. I believe this combination of power and handling makes the GSX-R1000 a top choice for both track and street riding.
Friday, 14 June 2024 05:53 PM Suzukis GSX-R1000 series for 2025 will retain the same mechanical specifications as the previous year, with no major updates announced. This decision has led to some criticism, as competitors have introduced more advanced technologies. However, the GSX-R1000 remains competitively priced, with the base model starting at $16,499 and the GSX-R1000R at $18,649. I think the pricing strategy will help Suzuki maintain its market share despite the lack of updates.
Sunday, 12 November 2023 11:06 PM The 2024 Suzuki GSX-R1000 introduced a new Glass Matte Mechanical Gray paint scheme and other cosmetic updates, but the core mechanicals remained the same. The bike features a powerful 999cc engine, advanced electronics like the Suzuki Bi-Directional Quick Shift System, and a robust aluminum twin-spar frame. These features continue to make the GSX-R1000 a favorite among sportbike enthusiasts. I believe the balance between performance and street manners is a key selling point for this model.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 Review

31 Dec, 2021 07:17 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

Suzuki GSX R-1000, the liter class bike from the Japanese manufacturer is officially a superbike with its over the top features and other ergonomics. It exhibits a 1000cc engine at its heart and has a top speed of 300 kmph making it stand apart from the crowd without many efforts. The superbike rivals against CBR1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1 and Kawasaki ZX-10R in its segment. The bike is offered in two stunning shades- Metallic Triton Blue, and Matte Black. Designed way back for the MotoGP World Championship, the Suzuki GSX R-1000 clearly dominates all in its segment.

The powerful performer is powered by a 999.8 cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 202 HP @ 13200 rpm and an utmost torque of 117.6 Nm @ 10,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and has a kerb weight of 202 kgs which is quite something to say. Though with the ground clearance of 130 mm, it is safe to turn corners and get maximum control.

The twin positioning headlights give the superbike a sharper stance while the elongated fuel tank looks aggressive. The split seat is well cushioned for the extra comfort and the LED clear lamps give the rear a stylish outlook. The laid-back instrument panel with all the modern technology speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual trip meters, gear position, coolant temperatures, driving range, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, traction control, and clock modes gives the bike a premium look.

It gets Inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped suspension at the front wheel while the rear wheel gets a coil spring monoshock suspension. The braking duties for the beast are handled by a 310mm Double disc brakes at the front and a 220mm Single disc brake at the rear. The addition of ABS is a plus and adds onto its superior handling well. The three-mode traction control system for managing the grip is powerful enough to work well in unison.

Mixed feelings about my GSX-8R. Love the looks and engine character, but the seat gets uncomfortable on long rides. Fuel efficiency isn't great getting only about 20 km/l in city traffic. Electronics package is good, but the quickshifter can be clunky at low speeds. Still it is a head-turner!

Yeah, its price is high but it is worth much more than that. It's amazing using the beast. I assure you that you will not regret the purchase. And yeah its mileage varies with speed but it is affordable. If you are a bike lover and want a beast for long roots or for short I may recommend this beast.

Best Bike

Best bike for the price... Nice sporty ride. Gear shifting is very soft. Nice pickup. This bike is for tall riders because short persons should bend for the handle bar...It will be difficult for long rides. And the service cost is reasonable and this bike is best for my daily uses and long trips. Finally, just buy it and enjoy the thrill.

Since I was just stepping into the world of motorcycling, I needed a reliable entry-level supersport bike that could cater to my riding skills. I tried out many bikes, but some of them were very expensive, and the others lacked the features I desired. After days of test riding and comparing the different bikes, I purchased the Suzuki GSX-R150, and it has been an ideal choice. The bike's balanced weight distribution and low seat height make it easy to ride at any speed. It is also feature rich and makes riding fun.
