MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW | |
Vehicle Overview | Suzuki GSX-R125 is the youngest R series bike from the manufacturer. It will be sold independently in Europe and those markets where licensing restriction force the manufacturers to either stay under 125cc or go for an even effective 250 or 300cc model. It is powered by a 125cc engine and the values are still not official from Suzuki. GSX-R125 carries a fuel injected and liquid cooled engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox for effective gearshifts. The weight of the bike is still unavailable while it can be safely assumed that adding ABS and using 125cc engine in place of 150cc from GSX-R150 will place it around 131 kg only. It rivals KTM RC125, Honda CBR125R, Yamaha R125 and Aprilia RS 125. As of now, Suzuki has no plans to launch the GSX-R125 in India. |

Suzuki GSX-R125 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The youngest offering from Suzuki in the R series, the GSX-R125 is only sold independently in Europe and those markets where licensing restriction force the manufacturers to either stay under 125cc or go for an even effective 250 or 300cc model. With a 125 cc engine at its heart, the GSX-R125 is known to offer a thrilling ride and an intimidating experience with agile power performance. It competes in the market with the likes of KTM RC125, Honda CBR125R, Yamaha R125 and Aprilia RS 125 in its segment.
Powering the Suzuki GSX-R125 is a 125 cc, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 15 PS @ 10,000 rpm and an utmost torque of 11.5 Nm @ 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It gets a Telescopic, coil spring, oil damped suspension at the front while the rear tyre gets a Link type, coil spring, oil damped suspension. With a kerb weight of 134 kgs, the sports bike is easy to handle well on sharp corners and local terrains despite being equipped with ABS from BOSCH. It gets a 290 mm disc brake at the front with a dual piston caliper and 187 mm disc brake at the rear. A hunched riding position gives maximum support while riding while giving the bike an aggressive stance. The clip on bars gives the rider a classic riding position with foot pegs in place for the comfort of the rider as well as pillion. For additional security, the bike also gets a keyless ignition.
The all-digital instrument cluster supports every latest technology in order to provide maximum support for the numbers while driving. The Suzuki GSX-R125 offers a mileage of 40-45 kmpl (combined). The sports bike is available in the market in three stunning shades- Metallic Triton Blue, Solid Black, Brilliant White.
