Suzuki Hayabusa (Old Model) Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Suzuki, a Japanese automobile giant is a name that everyone is familiar with due to its credibility, incredibility, performance, power, speed, style and uniqueness. Their biggest success till now is Hayabusa, which from a decade ruled over many Superbikes and acquired for itself a respectable and unique place in people's hearts. Since its appearance in the market in 1999, it has also seen some changes in its styling and performance but the overall aura remains the same. Now recently, Suzuki launched a limited special edition called Hayabusa LE GSX1300R with some unique and exciting features.
Design and Style
Suzuki Hayabusa LE GSX1300R has many features worth mentioning. But, let’s just start with its exterior design which includes a vertically stacked headlight and clear lens indicators in its front fairing with some aggressive graphics, a stylish, wide and long visor with integrated black colored rear view mirrors, a broad front fender placed just below the headlight to cover its front forks, an extended side cowl, side fairing with two big air-inlets and stylish decals featuring the name of bike, nicely designed fuel tank, single comfortable seat, a partly-black colored silencer with diamond-like coating, rear cowl with round LED tail light and up-raised indicators and 17-inch Bridgestone Battlax alloy wheels with tubeless tires.
Its features includes a Suzuki Drive Mode Selector(S-DMS) system to allow the driver to choose from one of the three engine control maps according to personal preferences in a variety of riding conditions. It has forged, 3-ring, aluminium-alloy slipper pistons for great strength and each piston has an oil control ring electroplated with a chrome-nitride coating in a vacuum chamber using a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) system making it harder as well as smoother, thus reducing friction and improving cylinder sealing. It also has tapered 44mm double-barrel Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) throttle bodies with each barrel having two butterfly valves and the driver controls the primary valve whereas engine controls the secondary one, keeping in regard with various other aspects, thus improving its combustion efficiency as well as throttle response.
Also, the KYB inverted cartridge forks are used with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating surface treatment on 43mm stanchion tubes to reduce the friction present and to increase the reaction to small surface irregularities. It has radially mounted Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers to provide better feedback to the driver, increase the initial bite and gives a controlled feeling with the help of enlarged (32-32mm) piston diameters.
Dimensions
It has a length of 2190mm, width of 735mm and height of 1165mm as its dimensions and has a large wheelbase of 1480mm for a stable ride. It has a ground clearance of 120mm with a seat height of 805mm. It has a weight of 260kgs and a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres.
Safety Features
It has analogue tachometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge, an analogue as well as digital funky speedometer and an orange colored LCD for trip meter and odometer. The bike also features a lightweight and high performance ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with compact design to enhance brake performance.
Brakes and Suspension
Suzuki Hayabusa LE GSX1300R has 6-piston calliper and front dual disk brakes of 320mm diameter and rear disk brakes of 240mm diameter. The suspension system is an Oil Damped, Inverted Telescopic type with Coil Springs at front while Oil Damped, Link type with Coil Springs at rear. For the safety, it has ABS, front brake callipers and bright headlight.
Shades and Price
Suzuki Hayabusa LE GSX1300R is a limited special edition of regular GSX1300R which is available in Marble Daytona Yellow (KGK) shade with a little combination of Glass Sparkle Black shade in it. The ex-showroom, Delhi price of Suzuki Hayabusa LE GSX1300R is INR 16.45 lakhs which may vary slightly in different states.
Verdict
Overall, Suzuki Hayabusa LE GSX1300R is a great combination of style, performance, speed, safety, class, comfort and ruggedness with a high price which makes it affordable to only a certain groups of people but despite of that, it is a value for money bike because of its overwhelming features, style and speed.

Cons: Maintenance cost is little high difficult to maintain the bike
Wastage of Money
Suzuki Hayabusa is a dream of many boys no doubt. I don't have this bike but I am writing this review on the behalf of my ride I took on my friends bike. When I first sat on the bike, I got so excited and it just raise my soul. The riding experience was awesome. The bike is a peak of everything the power, comfort and smooth sound. Apart from that, What I feel uncool in the bike is its seat which is sufficient only for one rider, its weight and bulky design. Or I can say, its a wastage of money. As no one wants to roam lonely on roads. At one time you really want to have ride with your loved ones. Well, Its my personal view about the bike, I hope its helpful for viewers.
Best Features: Nothing
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Price, Design, Weight
