Expert opinion and recommendation
The Suzuki Hayabusa, even in its older model, remains a marvel of speed, style, and performance. This bike is a testament to Suzukis engineering prowess, offering a 1,340cc engine that delivers exhilarating power and smooth acceleration. The Hayabusas agile handling and precision engineering make it a thrill to ride on any terrain. However, it comes with some caveats the maintenance cost is relatively high, and the bikes heavy body and bulky design can be a drawback for some riders. Despite these, the Hayabusas iconic design, refined engine, and advanced features like the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three power modes make it a dream bike for many. If youre looking for the ultimate riding experience and are willing to invest in maintenance, the Hayabusa is an excellent choice.

Pricing details and changes
The Suzuki Hayabusa, in its older model, was priced at around Rs 16.45 lakh ex-showroom in India before it was discontinued. When considering the on-road price, you would need to add additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could push the total cost to approximately Rs 18-20 lakh, depending on the state and local regulations. While this is a significant investment, the Hayabusas performance, style, and the prestige it carries make it a valuable purchase for those who can afford it. The price drop in 2016 due to the shift from CBU to CKD import method was a welcome move, but the bikes discontinuation means buyers now have to look at the used market.
Fuel efficiency information
The Suzuki Hayabusa is not known for its fuel efficiency, which is a common trade-off for its powerful engine. With a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres, the Hayabusa typically offers mileage in the range of 8-12 kml, depending on the riding conditions and style. This means that running costs will be higher, especially for frequent riders. However, for those who prioritize performance over fuel efficiency, the Hayabusas mileage is a manageable compromise.

It also has tapered 44mm double-barrel Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) throttle bodies with each barrel having two butterfly valves and the driver controls the primary valve whereas engine controls the secondary one, keeping in regard with various other aspects, thus improving its combustion efficiency as well as throttle response.
Also, the KYB inverted cartridge forks are used with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating surface treatment on 43mm stanchion tubes to reduce the friction present and to increase the reaction to small surface irregularities. It has radially mounted Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers to provide better feedback to the driver, increase the initial bite and gives a controlled feeling with the help of enlarged (32-32mm) piston diameters.
