Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Review
Detailed Review by Maxabout Team
Overview
Suzuki Hayabusa has established itself as the Ultimate Sportbike. Suzuki's flagship sportbike in 2024 comes with a muscular and refined engine. It is housed in a proven and updated chassis with unrivalled manners. An unrivalled suite of electronic rider aids controls it. It is housed in stunning aerodynamic bodywork that is unique to Hayabusa.
Riders who have owned or wished to own a Hayabusa will recognise the iconic, aerodynamic silhouette. The body incorporates air diffusers, vent shapes, and reimagined logos. While a sophisticated LED lighting system serves as the pinnacle of style and function.
Over its predecessor, this generation of Hayabusa has new or redesigned parts. All with the goal of providing the most complete and balanced sportbike experience possible. All eyes are on the Suzuki Hayabusa, which continues to be a testament to Suzuki's dedication. Creating the best-performing product in quality, dependability, and value. The Hayabusa, like its namesake Peregrine Falcon, soars once more above all.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Design and Style
The new Hayabusa design team had its work cut out for them from the start. You don't redesign something with a look as iconic as the previous 'Busa models. But that's exactly what the factory did, and they managed to keep a lot of the line and visual weight that has long been associated with this family. A nip and tuck here and there, and you've got a leaner, meaner machine. That is still a member of the Hayabusa family line, albeit with less-voluptuous curves than the previous body styles.
The distinctive tail hump that has long defined the rear end of 'Busa bikes remains the defining feature. The factory crammed the new taillight, brake light, and turn signals into a single LED lightbar. It spans the width of the tail section to keep the rear end clean. Back in the cockpit, a series of new cowl vent adjustments direct hot air away from the pilot. It provides low-drag reintegration with the slipstream.
Despite the changes to the body panels, the Hayabusa keeps the peregrine falcon-inspired panache. It distinguishes the line from everything else on two wheels. Not only is the body slimmer, but the mufflers have been trimmed to match the slimmer lines.
The cowling and fairings have been wind tunnel tested to reduce drag and boost penetration, but that's not all they do. To take advantage of the ram-air effect, a pair of inlet ports ride alongside the stacked front headlights. This forces pressurised air into the Suzuki Ram Air Direct system. It results in increased volumetric efficiency and performance. To be clear, the ram-air effect is negligible at low speeds, with the full benefits felt at speeds of up to 128 km/h.
LED headlight projectors provide excellent two-way visibility to the rest of the world. And the LED front turn signals are integrated with the front fairing to reduce drag and streamline the appearance. The pilot is pulled into an aggressive, forward-leaning position with jockey pegs and a narrow waist. However, the bar is pulled back 12 mm for a little more touring comfort.
For a sense of man and machine integration, the skinny midsection rides behind a broad-shouldered cowling. It pulls the rider's legs into the bike rather than around it.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Engine and Gearbox
Suzuki's Intelligent Ride System combines everything under one umbrella. It delves deep into the engine control area on the Hayabusa's electronic system. The new ride-by-wire throttle control sends rider input to the brain box. Many variables and onboard subsystems are then used to change the signal.
The first SIRS feature is a set of three Drive Mode power-delivery profiles. And a fourth rider-tuneable profile for customising your own power curve. The Drive Mode tunes much more than the final output. Power Mode, Anti-Lift control, Engine Brake Control, lean-sensitive traction control, and a quick-shifter. It will send up and down the range without touching the clutch lever. Rolling off the throttle for solid holeshots and controlled quarter miles is also possible.
When using the hand lever, the slip-and-assist clutch ensures a light pull with built-in back-torque mitigation. It adds safety on hard downshifts and engine braking. A 6-speed transmission crunches the ratios to deliver a top speed of around 190 mph. The Launch Control gives you smooth, tractable take-off. The Active Speed Limiter provides an absolute performance ceiling to keep you from going too fast.
The liquid-cooled engine is an inline four mounted transversely in the frame. Bore and stroke mic out at 81 and 65 mm, for a displacement of 1,340cc and a scorching 12.5-to-1 compression ratio.
Dual overhead cams time the valvetrain and come ground this year for a wider tractable torque band. The 'Busa's claimed horsepower is 187.75 at 9,700 rpm, and the claimed torque is 110.64 pound-feet at Seven Grand Event, the same as the 2021 model.
The top speed of the Suzuki Hayabusa is governed at 186 mph, but the limiter can be bypassed. This is completely unnecessary unless you're building a dedicated drag bike. Even the smallest details are significant. Larger oil galleries concealed within the cases provide more volume. Delivering 54% more flow to the critical components. Cutouts in the bottom end vent air pressure between cylinders to reduce pumping losses.
Each cylinder has a Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber. It maximises flame-front propagation through intake turbulence. The slipper pistons are 26 grammes lighter than the previous version, and the connecting rods are three grammes lighter as well.
These new lightweight components work in tandem with a lighter crankshaft. A gear-driven balancer to reduce pilot vibration, which is no small feat with an engine this powerful. Because of the reduced mass and inertia, this engine will rev up faster than ever before.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Suspension, Brakes and Tyres
The new twin-spar frame from Hayabusa is made of aluminium. As a result, the centre of gravity is lower and the weight distribution between the front and rear axles is 50:50. The standard wheelbase is 58.3 inches between contact patch centres. However, due to the popularity of this bike on drag strips, expect to see it with a stretched swingarm and a longer wheelbase.
The 'Busa has dual front disc brakes and a curb weight of 582 pounds. New four-piston Brembo callipers on the front and a single-piston Nissin calliper on the rear. And standard front and rear ABS protection. Motion Track ABS is enabled by a six-axis inertial measurement unit. For continuous protection around the curve, it modulates intervention based on calculated available traction.
The brakes have a Combined Brake feature that applies pressure to both ends of the callipers. It is determined by the amount of pressure applied to the front brake lever. It also has a Slope Dependent brake control, which keeps you in control when braking downhill head-first.
It also has Hill Hold Control, which holds the rear brake and allows you to come to a complete stop on a slope with both feet on the ground. The HHC will hold the brake for you until you let it go, at which point the system will reduce the brake pressure as you exit the hole. It goes without saying that being able to nail the holeshot is a desirable trait for a drag-bike/stoplight burner like this.
KYB forks are mounted up front opposite a shock hidden under the tail. They control handling and ride quality. Both have DLC treatment at the wear points for long-term service, which extends component life.
Key Features of Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R
Riders adore the Hayabusa's recognisable instrument cluster, which features excellent functionality and a familiar layout. Several innovations have been implemented in Hayabusa's instrument cluster. Valuable features with modern styling to match the bike's appearance. In keeping with the tradition of combining analogue gauges with digital LCD displays and LED icons.
A key feature of the instrument cluster is the TFT LCD panel mounted between the speedometer and tachometer. A variety of information can be displayed on the TFT LCD panel. It accomplishes this in a recognisable and appealing manner by employing two display methodologies.
Cutting-edge engine management is provided by a powerful dual-core 32-bit ECM. It aids in the operation and optimization of Hayabusa's electrical and S.I.R.S. components.
It has a wire harness in the style of a Computer Area Network (CAN). It operates as a network of interconnected information. The operation of Hayabusa's S.I.R.S. and other electrical features is dependent on a more complex and slower conventional wiring harness.
A long-lasting, oil-cooled three-phase stator powers the 400W charging system. A high-capacity, maintenance-free battery and fuses are accessible beneath the rider's seat.
A Bosch® six-direction, three-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). It is yet another component that aids in the operation of S.I.R.S. and other Hayabusa technology.
2024 Hayabusa is equipped with the latest generation, compact Anti-lock Brake System from Bosch® (ABS). The ABS unit implements features in collaboration with the IMU. As an example, consider the Motion Track Brake System, Hill Hold Control System, and Slope Dependent Control System.
The lighting on the Hayabusa is both functional and appealing, befitting its premium sportbike status. With advanced technology and modern styling inspired by the original Hayabusa. This 2024 edition retains the stacked headlight format.
Top Speed and Mileage of Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R
Suzuki Hayabusa has a fuel economy of 17.8 km/l (company-claimed). The 1340cc sports tourer motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds (company-claimed). The top speed of the Suzuki Hayabusa is 299 km/h (company-claimed).
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Colour Options
The 2024 Hayabusa is available in three two-tone body colour schemes. Pearl Vigor Blue and Pearl Brilliant White combine to create a stunning white motorcycle. With deep blue accents in key locations that highlight the sculpted form of the Hayabusa. Metallic Matte Black and Glass Sparkle Black create a dark image of strength by using the offset between flat and glossy black paint. Metallic Thunder Gray & Candy Darning Red falls somewhere between the other schemes' bright white and dark black. The grey base colour defines the Hayabusa's bodywork, with red accents placed in the various intake and exhaust vents.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Competitors
Nothing else in the world cuts the same figure as Suzuki's Hayabusa line. So it is in a class by itself when it comes to looks and a blank canvas ripe for customization. Aside from custom bike builders, most 'Busa buyers are interested in the machine's performance. With that in mind, we can find bikes with comparable performance profiles. Like Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory, BMW S1000RR, Ducati Panigale V4, Honda CBR1000RR-R, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and Yamaha YZF-R1.
Conclusion

BEST BIKE
It is best in long term bike its disadvantage is to maintain the bike from scratches and nothing else disadvantage braking system is next level.
Best Features: Acceleration, looks and performance I ride mostly at 100kmph best features.
Pros: It is my dream bike, best pickup it is value for money
Cons: Maintenance cost is little high difficult to maintain the bike
Wastage of Money
Suzuki Hayabusa is a dream of many boys no doubt. I don't have this bike but I am writing this review on the behalf of my ride I took on my friends bike. When I first sat on the bike, I got so excited and it just raise my soul. The riding experience was awesome. The bike is a peak of everything the power, comfort and smooth sound. Apart from that, What I feel uncool in the bike is its seat which is sufficient only for one rider, its weight and bulky design. Or I can say, its a wastage of money. As no one wants to roam lonely on roads. At one time you really want to have ride with your loved ones. Well, Its my personal view about the bike, I hope its helpful for viewers.
Best Features: Nothing
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Price, Design, Weight
