TVS Apache RTX 300 Top

About
The TVS Apache RTX 300 Top is Indias first homegrown 300 cc adventure-tourer, and it packs a compelling mix of performance and features. The 299.1 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 35 PS and 28.5 Nm, offering a lively, responsive ride with a broad usable powerband, making it versatile for city, highway, and light off-road use. The ergonomics are upright and relaxed, with a comfortable seat and high handlebar, ideal for long journeys. Key highlights include a full-color TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, dual-channel switchable ABS, traction control, multiple ride modes, cruise control, adjustable windshield, LED lighting, and a sturdy steel trellis frame. The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combo, equipped with grippy Eurogrip block-pattern dual-purpose tires. While its a bit portly at 180 kg, it carries its weight well, and the suspension is plush enough for Indian roads. The Apache RTX 300 Top is not a hardcore off-roader, but its a true all-rounder for the Indian rider who wants one motorcycle to do it all, without stretching the budget.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
TVS Apache RTX 300 Top is a landmark motorcycle for Indian riders who seek a blend of adventure capability, everyday usability, and strong value. From the saddle, it feels substantial and confidence-inspiring, with a 299.1 cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 35 PSsmooth, flexible, and rev-happy, ideal for both city commutes and highway cruising. The chassis is stable, handling is predictable, and the suspension soaks up most bumps competently, though youll notice the curb weight and seat height around town. Features are a major draw twin LED headlamps, a full-color TFT dash with navigation, switchable ABS, traction control, and cruise control are rare at this price point. Ergonomics are upright and comfortable for long rides, and fit-finish is a step up from previous TVS offerings. The Top variant adds convenience and style, but its real achievement is making premium adventure features accessible. If your riding includes weekend getaways, daily commutes, and the occasional rough patch, the RTX 300 Top stands out as an all-rounder that doesnt ask you to compromiseunless you insist on a lighter, more hardcore ADV, which isnt what this bike is about.
Price
In India, the TVS Apache RTX 300 Top variant is priced at 2,14,000 ex-showroom, which undercuts most rivals in the adventure segment by a significant margin. On-road prices will vary by state, but expect to add registration, insurance, and GST, pushing the figure to roughly 2.32.5 lakh depending on your locationan aggressive offer considering the equipment and performance you get. In context, this is a bike packed with features that were exclusive to much pricier imports until now traction control, ride modes, navigation, and cruise control. Value is undeniable, and TVS has clearly prioritized making advanced technology accessible. That said, those expecting a flawless premium experience at this price should temper expectationsmaterial quality and some details may lag behind more expensive bikes, but nothing undermines the overall package. Competitors at this price are more street-oriented or lack similar tech, so the RTX 300 Top is an easy recommendation for value-conscious adventurers.
TVS Apache RTX 300 Top on road price is Rs 2.46 lakh in Delhi, Rs 2.55 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 2.49 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 2.53 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest TVS dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.
Mileage
Thursday, 16 October 2025 08:30 AM Early reports suggest the RTX 300 delivers around 39 kmpl under mixed conditions, which is respectable for a 300 cc adventure bike in India. This means real-world running costs will be reasonable, especially compared to larger ADVs, though theyre higher than commuter-focused 200250 cc bikes. If you prioritize mileage, this 300 cc machine strikes a balanceits efficient enough for daily use, yet powerful enough for highway runs and mild off-roading. For city-heavy riders, a commuter might be more frugal, but if you want performance and features without excessive fuel bills, the RTX 300 Top is a smart middle ground.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges.

Stylish and Good Performer

Style: It's a beautifully crafted beast, when you just sit on the bike you feel like you are in a Race. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: It's loaded with 160CC powerful RTR engine that you can really feel it. And fuel economy is good! I have just done with 2nd service (today) and so far I have got 60kmpl riding around 55km/hr and had never crossed 60km/hr.. but today I was really exited and happy to ride my beast at its best, I really enjoyed the pickup, speed, thrill.... coming to gearbox it lags (some times), it is smooth while the up shifts and stuck while down shifts and have to slow down the bike for down shifts but this is a common problem in all bike range. Ride Quality & Handling: Ride quality and Handling is extremely good.. but rear tyre slips when you brake, you might have to use good quality tyres. Areas of improvement: Riding comfort as riders get back ache, tyres, gearbox

Best Features: RTR, dashboard has many options, etc

Pros: Good performance, stylish, fuel economy, ride quality

Cons: Comfort, gearbox
