Suzuki GSX-R125 Updates

Suzuki has updated its Japanese portfolio with the launch of the Euro5-compliant GSX-R125 and GSX-S125. The changes to the latest iterations of the motorcycles are limited to mechanical upgrades to comply with the newest emission norms. The updated 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor on the 2022 models makes 14.75bhp at 10,500rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm.

The bike, which has been updated with Euro5-compliant engines and new color options, remains a favorite among enthusiasts, but Suzukis focus in India remains on models like the Gixxer and Gixxer SF. I think the demand for sporty bikes in India is high, so it would be a great move if Suzuki decides to bring it here.

However, these updates are not expected to reach the Indian market anytime soon. The bike features a 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine and comes with a six-speed gearbox, but it seems Indian buyers will have to wait. I believe the GSX-R125 would be a strong contender in the entry-level sports bike segment if it were launched here.

The bike retains its 124cc, single-cylinder engine and other technical specifications. Despite the updates, there are no plans to launch this model in India, where Suzuki is focusing on other models tailored for the local market. I think the new color options would be a hit in India, given the bikes sporty appeal.
