Ducati Panigale V2
About
The Ducati Panigale V2 is a middleweight sportbike that replaces the 959 Panigale in Ducatis lineup. Powered by a 955 cc Superquadro L-twin cylinder engine, it produces 155 bhp, making it a formidable performer on both the street and the track. The bike features a monocoque chassis with the engine as a stressed member, along with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and an aluminium swing-arm, which together provide exceptional handling and stability. The electronics suite is comprehensive, including cornering ABS, six levels of traction control, and a lean-angle based engine braking system, among other features. The Panigale V2 also boasts a sleek and aggressive design, inheriting its looks from the V4, with a compact and svelte bodywork that makes it visually stunning. While it is designed more for track use, it is also manageable and fun on the street, though the riding position is aggressive and can be uncomfortable in slow-moving traffic. Overall, the Panigale V2 is a well-rounded motorcycle that offers a unique blend of performance, style, and technology.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati Panigale V2 is a masterpiece that blends stunning aesthetics with exceptional performance and handling. In my experience, this bike is surprisingly easy to ride, even for those who might not be accustomed to the aggressive ergonomics of a sportbike. The Panigale V2s 955 cc Superquadro engine delivers a smooth and powerful ride, with 155 bhp that makes it a joy on both the street and the track. The Ohlins suspension and monocoque chassis provide agile and fun handling, making it a standout in its class. However, the heat issue, particularly in slow-moving traffic, is a notable drawback. Despite this, the comprehensive electronics suite, including cornering ABS and traction control, makes it a safe and enjoyable ride. Overall, the Panigale V2 is a versatile and exhilarating motorcycle that is perfect for both track enthusiasts and those who appreciate a high-performance ride on the road.

Latest Updates

The new Ducati Panigale V2 features a 890 cc V-twin engine with variable valve timing but no Desmo valves, a first for a Ducati V-twin. This engine produces 120 horsepower and 69 pound-feet of torque, which is less powerful than the previous 959 model but significantly lighter. The bike also includes advanced electronics such as cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, and a quickshifter. I think the balance between power and weight reduction will make this bike highly competitive on the track while being more enjoyable on the road.

The new Panigale V2 has been tested on the Vallelunga racetrack and showed impressive performance, lapping only 0.2 seconds slower than the 2024 model despite the reduction in power. This is attributed to the significant weight reduction of 37.4 pounds and the improved chassis. The bike also features Brembo M50 brake calipers and a range of electronic rider aids. I think this performance is a testament to Ducatis engineering prowess in balancing power and weight.

Ducati has unveiled the new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, marking a significant shift in their twin-cylinder sports bikes. The new Panigale V2 is the lightest in its history, weighing 33 pounds less than the previous V2 S model, thanks to a new monocoque frame and a 90° V2 engine. This reduction in weight, combined with new ergonomics and a generous power delivery curve, makes the bike more manageable and enjoyable on the road. I believe this focus on lightness and ease of riding will make the Panigale V2 a favorite among both track enthusiasts and everyday riders.

Ducatis new Panigale V2 and V2 S models will be available in dealerships late in the first quarter of 2025, with prices starting at $15,995 for the base model and $18,995 for the V2 S. The V2 S comes with higher-spec Ohlins suspension and other upgrades. Both models feature a six-axis IMU, multiple riding modes, and a new five-inch TFT display. I believe the pricing and the array of features make these bikes attractive options for those looking for a blend of performance and comfort.
Tuesday, 05 November 2024 01:36 PM
Ducati has applied the Fight Formula to create the lightest Streetfighter ever, using the Panigale V2 chassis and the new 90° V2 engine. The Streetfighter V2 weighs 386 pounds, making it 40 pounds lighter than the previous model. It features wide and high handlebars and no fairing, making it more intuitive and fun to ride on the road. I believe this naked bike will appeal to riders looking for a high-performance yet enjoyable everyday ride.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 01:27 AM
The mileage of the Ducati Panigale V2 is something that potential buyers should be aware of, especially if they plan to use it for regular commuting. In city conditions, the Panigale V2 manages to deliver around 13-15 kmpl, which is reasonable given its powerful engine. On the highway, the mileage improves to about 19-21 kmpl, making it more efficient for longer rides. However, the absence of a fuel gauge means youll need to keep an eye on the fuel light, which can be a bit inconvenient. With a 17-liter fuel tank, the real-world full tank range is approximately 225-250 kilometers. While the mileage is not spectacular, it is acceptable for a high-performance sportbike, and the trade-off is well worth it for the exhilarating riding experience the Panigale V2 offers. Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price |
Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
