Our take on this /// Verdict
The Yamaha Fazer8 is a compelling option for those seeking a balance between performance and comfort. This middleweight sports tourer, expected to be launched in India, boasts a 779cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that delivers 104.8 bhp at 10000 rpm and 82 Nm at 8000 rpm. The bikes semi-faired aerodynamic body and ergonomic seating position make it one of the most relaxing bikes to ride, especially for long journeys. The Fazer8s handling is solid, with a greater sense of security in corners compared to its naked counterpart, the FZ8. However, the fuel range could be a concern, as it returns around 39mpg, which might limit its appeal for those planning extensive road trips. Overall, the Fazer8 is a fine bike that offers a lot, but its pricing needs to be competitive to stand out in the Indian market.
Price
The 2024 Yamaha Fazer8 is expected to be priced around Rs 9 lakh in India (ex-showroom). When considering the on-road price, you can add approximately Rs 1-1.5 lakh to account for registration, insurance, and other costs, bringing the total to around Rs 10.5 lakh. This pricing positions the Fazer8 in a competitive segment, where it will rival bikes like the Kawasaki Z800 and Triumph Street Triple. While the price is on the higher side, the Fazer8s performance, features, and build quality justify the cost for serious motorcycle enthusiasts.

This setup ensures smooth handling and robust braking power. I believe these features will make it a favorite among Indian riders who value both performance and safety.
Tuesday, 20 August 2024 01:56 AM Yamahas decision to equip the Fazer8 with ABS as a standard feature is a significant safety enhancement. This, combined with its powerful engine and comfortable riding position, makes it an attractive option for those looking for a versatile sports tourer in India.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 08:40 AM The mileage of the Yamaha Fazer8 is a crucial factor for potential buyers. With a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres, the bike returns around 39mpg, which translates to approximately 240 km on a full tank. This mileage is decent but not exceptional, especially considering the bikes performance-oriented engine. For those concerned about running costs, this mileage suggests that the Fazer8 might not be the most economical option, but it still offers a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency.

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

Yamaha is a Japanese multinational corporation known for the high-end two wheelers. Its headquarters are located in Shizuoka, Japan. Since it has started, launched various models of motorcycles as well as scooters. The company has now launched the new Fazer8, a sports bike in UK and Europe. This is the super sport performer with rugged good looks. It is in speculation that will be launched in India by the year 2020. Lets check out the details of this sports bike below.

Yamaha Fazer8 features a semi-fared aerodynamic body for the enhanced comfort. It uses the light and rigid aluminum die-cast, diamond shaped, delta frame which is the most advanced in the industry. The dual headlight half fairing goes deep into the fuel tank area to underline the sleek lines present on the bike. The Fazer8 is one of the most relaxing bikes to ride with its ergonomic seating position. The new radical muffler design and the blackened out alloys gives it a sporty stance.

The Fazer8 comes with a length of 2140 mm, width of 770 mm and a height of 1225 mm as it dimensions along with a weight of 215 Kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres which makes it suitable for long runs. The bike features a LCD digital dash which includes a speedometer, fuel gauge, tripmeter and a clock. The panel also bears an analogue tachometer with an illuminating needle. The cluster also comprises of indicators for pass-light, step-up seat, stand alarm, low fuel, battery and oil. The amber color is used in LCD for better illumination which gives it a futuristic look.

Yamaha Fazer8 is expected to be powered by the same R-series DNA with a 779cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that will generate a maximum power of 104.8 bhp at 10000 rpm and a maximum torque of 82 Nm at 8000 rpm. This 4-stroke, four cylinder engine would be mated to a constant mesh six speed transmission and a wet, multiple-disc coil spring clutch system. It will use the electronic fuel injection and TCI (digital) ignition system in order to make the engine more fuel efficient. The Fazer8 is expected to have 310 mm hydraulic dual disc brakes at the front and 267 mm hydraulic single disc brakes at the rear end.

On the other hand, suspension duties would be handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front and linked mono shock with spring preload adjustment at the back. There is a great fun to ride this sports bike. The extended wheelbase of 1460 mm offers you a safe and stable ride. On the other hand, the ground clearance of 140 mm helps in protecting the under body from damages. The bike comes with a tyre size of 120/70 ZR17 M/C at the front and 180/55 ZR17 M/C at the back. The Fazer8 does not lose control even at higher speeds.
