Is the performance of the XUV 3XO worth the hit on fuel efficiency?
27 December 2024 11:52
Totally worth it! Somehow the extra fuel costs are made up for with the smile on my face when I whack the accelerator.
Are people right about the Mahindra TUV300 being unreliable?
27 December 2024 11:43
I’ve had my TUV300 for 3 years now and I’ve to say it’s been pretty solid. The beginning was sure, there were some minor niggles, but nothing major. A lot of the bad rep, I think, is due to the early models.
So why did the police force choose the TUV300 over all the other options?
27 December 2024 11:43
It’s probably a combination of things, cost, maintenance network, local manufacturing. Having a wide service network is very important for police vehicles which need to be on the road 247.
Does the TUV300's design make sense or is it trying too hard to be unique?
27 December 2024 11:43
You definitely have to learn to like it. That's not necessarily bad, though. It’s something that attracts buyers who want something different. Not all of us want our car to look like every other car on the road.
Can the TUV300’s rear wheel drive setup get the better of front wheel drive competitors?
27 December 2024 11:43
The RWD setup may be an advantage for Indian road conditions, especially in rural areas. It rides the rough roads better when loaded and has better traction on loose surfaces. It’s a practical choice for people in its target market.
Is the TUV300 worthy of being the new Bolero?
27 December 2024 11:43
They are going after different markets. While the Bolero is still the king in rural areas, the TUV300 is for semi urban buyers looking for a robust vehicle without being too basic. This is not about succession, it is about expanding the lineup.
Is the Thar Roxx’s wheel hop issue making it unsafe for daily driving?
27 December 2024 11:38
That's a design flaw that Mahindra should correct. It’s not unsafe, but it’s annoying and shouldn’t happen in a modern vehicle.
Is the Thar Roxx actually a practical family daily driver?
27 December 2024 11:38
It’s still too rugged for comfortable daily use, but it’s getting close. However, it doesn’t ride as well as other similarly priced SUVs.
Is the Thar Roxx eating into sales of other Mahindra models such as the XUV700 and Scorpio?
27 December 2024 11:38
I don't think so. The Roxx, however, appeals to a different kind of buyer, who would never have looked at the XUV700 or Scorpio in the first place.
Is Mahindra mismanaging Thar Roxx production, or are the long waiting periods justified?
27 December 2024 11:38
It's just high demand. It takes time to make quality and I’d rather wait for a quality built vehicle than a rushed one.
Is the Thar Roxx's wheel hop issue a daily driver killer?
27 December 2024 11:33
This is something Mahindra needs to address. It may not be unsafe, but it is certainly alarming for a 25 lakh vehicle.
Is the Thar Roxx really a practical daily driver for a family?
27 December 2024 11:33
And for the small family that loves outdoors, it’s perfect. There are better options, though, for regular urban use.
Is the Thar Roxx cannibalising sales from other Mahindra models such as the XUV700 and Scorpio?
27 December 2024 11:33
I don't think so. But the Roxx appeals to a different type of buyer who wouldn’t even consider the XUV700 or Scorpio.
Is Mahindra mismanaging production, or are the long waiting periods for the Thar Roxx justified?
27 December 2024 11:33
It's just high demand. It takes time to build quality, and I’d rather wait for a well built car than a rushed one.
Can the Thar Roxx justify the 25 lakh price tag?
27 December 2024 11:33
Absolutely not worth it. For 25 lakhs, you get much more refined and feature packed SUVs which are better for day to day use.
Should Mahindra work on the Thar's on road manners or focus on improving its off road capabilities?
27 December 2024 11:27
I feel Mahindra should concentrate on noise reduction and raising the ride quality on roads, but not at the expense of ground clearance or approach/departure angles. It's a hard thing to get the balance of, but it can be done.
Is the Mahindra Thar really the hype, or all it’s cracked up to be?
27 December 2024 11:27
But the hype around the Thar is mostly justified, not everyone will like it. It's a commitment vehicle that you need to understand its limitations. If you only buy it for the looks, then you will probably be disappointed. It's amazing if you actually use it for what it's supposed to be used for.
Is the Thar too impractical for most buyers?
27 December 2024 11:27
The practicality issue, I think, is really going to come down to your lifestyle. The Thar can work as a daily driver if you are single or have a small family and don't have to haul a lot of stuff. That’s life, it’s all about your priorities.
Could a fleet of modified Mahindra Supro Vans be the answer for last mile delivery in crowded cities?
27 December 2024 11:10
In particular, I think this is something that could work in large, dense urban areas, particularly for things like small package delivery or food delivery. The last mile is all about efficiency.
Does the Mahindra Supro Van make for the ideal vehicle for a budget cross country road trip?
27 December 2024 11:10
You could definitely do some really cool DIY mods to make it more road trip friendly, though. Off the roof rack, custom storage, maybe even a little kitchenette in the back!
