Should You Buy It? | This point becomes highly debatable as apart from looks, Renegade Commando has nothing else to justify its direct competition with Royal Enfield Bullet 500. |

UM Renegade Commando Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
<
With looks that attract onlookers and an advanced technology on the bike, the UM Renegade Commando strikes a sales number that is quite consistent. It has a solid build quality, which can be expected from the company, and provides a good mileage which keeps the customers happy. However, the limited number of sales and service outlets makes the bike a bit popular than some others in the segment. The lack of the rear disc brake and the ABS also keep it aloof from reaching the top charts.
The UM Renegade Commando is powered by a 279.5cc Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, 4 valve, liquid cooled, petrol engine with spark ignition that allows the bike to produce a maximum power of 28.4 bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 23 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is connected to the drivetrain via a six-speed synchronous mesh overdrive transmission that allows the bike to produce a mileage of about 30 kmpl combined on urban roads and highways. The top speed that the UM Renegade Commando can reach is 125 kmph. The high torque on the bike allows a constant flow of power at lower rpms.
The UM Renegade Commando is built around a bone type chassis and the suspension duties on the bike are handled by 41mm hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and twin hydraulic shock absorbers with springs at the rear. The bike is lifted off the ground by a 16-inch wheel at the front and a 15-inch wheel at the rear, which are covered by 110/90 16" and 140/90 15" tires, respectively. The bike does not feature alloy wheels. The instrument panel on the bike consists of an analogue speedometer and a digital fuel gauge and odometer. There is a 280mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.

Which one is the best between Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350cc and UM Renegade Commando and why?
29 December 2022 05:46The best one from the both the above would be the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. That is because the UM Global Renegade Commando comes with an underpowered 223 cc engine, making it more like a show stuff than the Thunderbird, which has a powerful and thoroughly tested 350 cc engine, producing far more torque than the rival engine. It comes with double disc brakes with high braking capacity and a projector lamp for better visibility. Both the bikes come under the equal price range, making it better to choose the Thunderbird 350.

User Reviews for UM Renegade
UM Renegade Commando
Amazing style and the best performance. Definitely a head turner (why I bought it). Still running on all original parts since 6 years. Never had to spend more than Rs. 800 on a service or anything. I was caught in an accident which tilted the leg guard a bit, but the bike that crashed into me completely shattered and it's internal metal frame started showing. Only con is the battery life and service centers.
Cons: Battery Life, Service Centers.
UM Sports S review after one year use
I have completed 7278 km till now. A total of six 1-day trips and three long trips have been completed. Positive points 1- On highway, I'm getting 40km/l (on a cruiser, its great in my opinion) 2- 100% head turner in the city & on the highway. 3- Those who overtake me, they slows down & take a look at my bike due to its style. 4- Wide rear tyre gives me confidence in turns and hairpin bends. 5- 60-90kmph is the bike's sweet spot, it rides smoothly. 6- Less vibration on 5-6th gear in highway. 7- Continuous riding no problem to rider, bike, engine and no heating issue. 8- Till now, no breakdown 9- Tank capacity is 18 litres (best for touring). 10- Service cost around 1000/- (free service), 1500-2000/- (paid service). Negative points 1- Chain sound is loud in 2,3,4 gear in city conditions. 2- Mileage in city is 25km/l. 3- Engine heats up in city. 4- Quality of parts. 5- Vibration while riding in city.
Best Features: Mileage, Comfort
Pros: Looks, Long Ride Comfort
Cons: Chain Sound, Vibrations at Slow Speed

UML Renegade Commando is worst product
So don't refer this product as UML giving dealership to anyone those who have money... They are not able to verify the quality of products. I am a customer of UML and felt very bad about that.
Best Features: They won't bother about anything that happens to the customer
Pros: I don't feel like getting a pros from Commando
