Vehicle Overview | Keeway Blackster 250i is an international cruiser model that is expected to launch in India from last few years. It has been in talks with the Indian DSK brand for collaboration few times. The motorcycle is powered by 248.9cc, twin cylinder engine producing 19.18 BHP and 18.7 Nm of torque. The dry weight of 170 kg makes it quite heavy when compared to its engine size, further reducing the on-paper performance values of the bike. If launched in India, it would rival none other than the Hyosung GV250 Aquila in the country. |

Keeway Blackster 250i Review
Overview
Keeway has planned an entry into the Indian two wheeler segment, with its renowned player, the Blackster 250i. It comes with a really impressive design, a more bold appeal and a smooth riding experience. The first glimpse of the Blackster will surely make your heart go crazy and won't let you rest till you have one for yourself.
Design & Style
The 10 on 10 designing of the Keeway Blackster 250i makes it a sure shot show stopper. The body seems to be heavy, and in actual is heavy. The fade looking shade adds-up to its classic appeal and twin exhaust makes it a masterpiece. Overall, the Blackster seems to be the best cruiser for India, considering its visuals and design. The console lands on to the fuel tank and that makes it really different from others.
Instrument Console
The instrument console on the Keeway looks very nice and the white background adds up to its clarity. The analogue speedometer looks brilliant and the small digital screen inside it is solely responsible for the odometer and trip-meter. The console also houses small led lights for the neutral indicator, high beam and turn indicators. The fuel tank lid which was supposed to be at the place of the console is seen to its right.
Engine & Performance
The performance of the Blackster is handled by a 248.9 cc engine, which produces a max of 19.18 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 18.7 NM @ 5750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The interesting fact of the Keeway Blackster is that it comes with 2 cylinders and the system hereby is air cooled only. The overall dry weight of the bike is 170 kg which directly influences its performance and limits the top speed to a lower value.
Brakes & Suspension
The braking on this cruiser is supported by a 270 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear. ABS is missing on the bike whereas the suspension being used is the telescopic forks for the front and coil spring type for the rear. The front uses a 110/90 tire whereas the rear has 120/90. The tire size is limited to 16 inch on both wheels.
Shades & Expected Price
The Keeway Blackster 250i is available in Matte Black shade only, with an expected price tag of INR 1,75,000.
