USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The UM Renegade Duty Ace 230 is an intriguing addition to the Indian motorcycle market, particularly for those who are drawn to the cafe-racer aesthetic. From my perspective, this bike stands out with its unique design elements, such as the rounded headlamp and the sleek, low-slung seat. The extremely well-padded seats, as seen in the Duty S variant but also present in the Duty Ace, add a layer of comfort that is often lacking in cafe-racers. However, the performance, while adequate, may not be as robust as some riders might expect from a 230cc engine. The bikes handling is smooth, making it a good choice for both city commuting and short highway jaunts. Overall, its a solid option for those who value style and comfort, but it may not be the best fit for performance enthusiasts.
Price
The UM Renegade Duty Ace 230 is priced competitively in the Indian market. At the time of its launch, the ex-showroom price was set at around Rs. 1.10 lakhs. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other miscellaneous charges, the price can go up to approximately Rs. 1.30 lakhs to Rs. 1.40 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the Duty Ace an attractive option for buyers looking for a stylish and feature-packed motorcycle without breaking the bank. However, its important to note that prices can vary slightly based on the region and any additional features or accessories.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 12:05 AM The mileage of the UM Renegade Duty Ace 230 is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers, given the countrys fuel-conscious market. According to various tests and user reviews, this motorcycle delivers a mileage of around 30-35 kmpl in city conditions and up to 40 kmpl on the highways. These figures are respectable for a 230cc engine and align with what one would expect from a bike in this segment. Amazing style and the best performance. Definitely a head turner (why I bought it). Still running on all original parts since 6 years. Never had to spend more than Rs. 800 on a service or anything. I was caught in an accident which tilted the leg guard a bit, but the bike that crashed into me completely shattered and it's internal metal frame started showing. Only con is the battery life and service centers.

Cons: Battery Life, Service Centers.

UM Sports S review after one year use

I have completed 7278 km till now. A total of six 1-day trips and three long trips have been completed. Positive points 1- On highway, I'm getting 40km/l (on a cruiser, its great in my opinion) 2- 100% head turner in the city & on the highway. 3- Those who overtake me, they slows down & take a look at my bike due to its style. 4- Wide rear tyre gives me confidence in turns and hairpin bends. 5- 60-90kmph is the bike's sweet spot, it rides smoothly. 6- Less vibration on 5-6th gear in highway. 7- Continuous riding no problem to rider, bike, engine and no heating issue. 8- Till now, no breakdown 9- Tank capacity is 18 litres (best for touring). 10- Service cost around 1000/- (free service), 1500-2000/- (paid service). Negative points 1- Chain sound is loud in 2,3,4 gear in city conditions. 2- Mileage in city is 25km/l. 3- Engine heats up in city. 4- Quality of parts. 5- Vibration while riding in city.
