MV Agusta F4 RC
General information and overview
The MV Agusta F4 RC is a limited-edition, high-performance motorcycle that stands out for its breathtaking design and exceptional capabilities. Powered by a 998cc inline-four engine, it produces 199.5 bhp at 13,450 rpm, making it one of the most powerful bikes in its class. The bike features fully adjustable suspension, including Showa 49mm USD front forks and a Sachs rear shock, providing excellent feedback and handling. The braking system, with 310mm discs and 6-piston calipers at the front and a 210mm disc at the rear, is highly effective. The F4 RC is available in a single color scheme and is known for its linear power delivery and deceptively easy ride, which transforms into a thrilling experience once the throttle is punched. Despite its high price and servicing challenges, the F4 RC remains a coveted choice for serious motorcycle enthusiasts in India.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The MV Agusta F4 RC is a masterpiece of Italian engineering, combining stunning aesthetics with exceptional performance. This bike is not just a mode of transportation its an experience. The F4 RC boasts a 998cc engine producing 199.5 bhp at 13,450 rpm, making it a beast on the road. The handling is precise and responsive, requiring a bit more rider input than Japanese sports bikes, but rewarding with a level of confidence that few other bikes can match. The fully adjustable suspension and excellent braking performance add to its prowess. However, the limited dealership presence and servicing challenges in India can be a significant drawback. Despite this, for those who crave a unique and exhilarating riding experience, the F4 RC is hard to beat.
Recent news and announcements
MV Agusta has announced that under the new leadership of PIERER Mobility AG, the company is focusing on innovative initiatives and expanding its product line, though there is no specific mention of the F4 RC in the recent updates. However, the companys overall growth and technological advancements could positively impact future models like the F4 RC. I think this new leadership will bring significant improvements to their entire lineup.
The 2021 EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show highlighted several MV Agusta models, but there was no new announcement specifically for the F4 RC. Instead, the focus was on other models like the Superveloce 800 and Brutale 1000 RR. It seems the F4 RC might be on a hiatus or undergoing significant updates before its next appearance. I believe the wait could be worth it if they are refining the model.
In 2021, MV Agusta launched several new models and limited editions, but the F4 RC was not among them. The company was more focused on models like the Superveloce Alpine and the Brutale 1000 RR. This suggests that the F4 RC might be due for a major update or redesign in the future. I think MV Agusta is taking their time to perfect this iconic bike.
The 2020 MV Agusta lineup included several new and updated models, but the F4 RC was not prominently featured. Instead, models like the Brutale 1000 RR and the Superveloce 800 took center stage. This indicates that MV Agusta might be shifting focus or preparing a significant overhaul for the F4 RC. I believe this silence could mean something big is coming.
In 2018, MV Agusta introduced the F4 Claudio, a special edition of the F4 series, but there was no specific update on the F4 RC. The company was celebrating its 75th anniversary and focusing on other models and collaborations. It seems the F4 RC was not a priority at that time. I think MV Agusta was honoring its legacy with other models.
Pricing details and changes
In India, the MV Agusta F4 RC comes with a hefty price tag, reflecting its exclusive and high-performance nature. The ex-showroom price for the F4 RC is approximately 50,87,520. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes and other expenses, the price can easily exceed 60 lakhs. This makes the F4 RC one of the most expensive motorcycles available in the Indian market. However, for enthusiasts who value exclusivity, performance, and design, the cost may be justified. Its crucial to consider the overall cost of ownership, including maintenance and servicing, which can be higher due to the lack of dealership support in India.
Fuel efficiency information
When it comes to mileage, the MV Agusta F4 RC is not designed for fuel efficiency but for raw performance. Given its high-performance engine and sporty nature, the mileage is typically low. You can expect around 10-15 kml in city riding conditions and slightly better on the highways, but this can vary significantly based on riding style and conditions. If youre concerned about running costs, this might not be the best choice, but for those who prioritize performance over economy, the F4 RC delivers unparalleled thrills.

Why is there AMG written on the bike? Is engine is made by supplied by AMG?
Very amazing bike. Not suitable for Indian roads though. I bought it in jan 2106 and have only take 10-15 rides in total. The average is also a bit low but that's only you expect from a super bike. The power which you enjoy is quite expensive.
