Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition is a pinnacle of motorcycle engineering, particularly for those who crave the ultimate in performance and exclusivity. This bike is not just a machine its a piece of history, honoring Troy Baylisss World Superbike legacy. With its 1198 cc Testastretta Evoluzione engine producing 180 horsepower, it offers unparalleled power and torque. The inclusion of Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and a slipper clutch makes it both powerful and manageable. However, its crucial to note that this bike is more suited for track use due to its aggressive nature and high-performance components. For daily riding, especially in urban environments, it can be quite challenging due to its monstrous front brakes and lack of slow-speed maneuverability. Nonetheless, for the serious enthusiast or collector, this bike is a dream come true.
Price
In India, the Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition, when it was available, was priced ex-showroom around 45-50 lakhs, depending on the region and any customizations. On-road prices would have been significantly higher, likely in the range of 55-60 lakhs, considering taxes, registration, and other costs. Its important to note that this model is no longer in production, so any current pricing would be for used or pre-owned models, which can vary widely based on condition, mileage, and other factors. As a rare and limited edition model, it retains its value well, making it a significant investment for any motorcycle enthusiast.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 12:37 AM
The mileage of the Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition is not its strong suit, especially when compared to more practical motorcycles. With an average fuel consumption of around 10-12 kml, it is not designed for long-distance touring or daily commuting. The high-performance engine and aggressive riding style it encourages mean that fuel efficiency takes a backseat. However, for those who prioritize performance over economy, this is a trade-off they are often willing to make.
