The USD fork on the Pro version enhances ride comfort and handling, although the suspension has been softened slightly to improve comfort. Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Pro is a significant improvement over its predecessor, addressing many of the shortcomings that held the older model back. With its new 4-valve engine, the bike now boasts stronger performance, particularly in the mid-range, making it more enjoyable in both city traffic and on the highways. The addition of a USD fork enhances the front-end stability and ride comfort, although the rear suspension could be slightly stiffer for better handling at the limit. While the bike lacks connectivity features on the top model and could benefit from dual-channel ABS, it remains a compelling choice in its segment. The riding position is comfortable, and the bike handles well, making it a fun and practical daily companion. However, the seat comfort is a mixed bag, feeling comfortable only for short periods. Overall, the Xtreme 160R 4V Pro is a solid option for those seeking a stylish, performance-oriented motorcycle without breaking the bank.

In terms of performance, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V delivers 16.9 PS of power at 8500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm, making it a solid choice for daily commuting. However, it has been noted that the bikes acceleration is not as aggressive as some of its competitors, which might make it less exciting for some riders. I believe this balance between power and practicality will suit many commuters.

The fuel efficiency of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has been reported to be around 35-37 kmpl, which is somewhat lower than expected for a 160cc bike, especially when ridden aggressively. However, more gentle riding can yield up to 40 kmpl. I think this is an area where riders need to be mindful of their riding style to get the best mileage.

The mileage of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Pro is a crucial factor for many potential buyers in India. While the exact fuel efficiency figures are not yet fully detailed in long-term reviews, initial impressions suggest that the bike should deliver around 40-50 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. This is typical for a 160cc motorcycle in this segment. The bikes fuel-injected engine and revised gear ratios are designed to optimize performance without compromising on fuel efficiency. However, real-world mileage can vary based on riding style, road conditions, and maintenance of the vehicle. Its worth noting that the first tankful has not been fully drained in some long-term tests, indicating that the bike might be quite economical for daily commuting. Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price |
Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
The Hero Xtreme 125R impresses with its aggressive styling and peppy performance. The 124.7cc engine delivers adequate power for urban riding. Fuel efficiency is commendable, though real-world figures fall short of claimed 66 kmpl. Build quality could be improved, but it's a compelling option in its segment.
I especially like this color in this segment and the overall connected features are awesome. Good sporty look.
Good, but the real mileage is around 30-35 kmpl. I have been using it for the last 1 year, and the comfort is outstanding.
The braking system for a good comfortable ride continues 300 km so comfortable.
It has excellent performance for riding good pickup and nice suspension. Good for mileage.
