USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Xtreme 160R Drum Brake Model is a solid contender in the 160cc segment, offering a blend of style, performance, and practicality. While it may not be the most powerful bike in its class, its 163cc engine provides a linear power delivery and decent low-end punch, making it an excellent city bike. The bikes agile handling, comfortable ergonomics, and well-tuned suspension ensure a smooth ride even on rough Indian roads. However, the single-channel ABS and the somewhat wooden brake feel might not inspire complete confidence. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Xtreme 160R is a very promising bike that offers great value for its price, especially for those looking for a commuter with a sporty and modern design.

Latest Updates
Wednesday, 11 September 2024 07:15 AM The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V has been launched in India with several updates, including a new H-shaped LED tail light and a flatter single-piece seat to enhance comfort for both the rider and pillion. The bike is now priced at Rs 1.11 lakh, making it Rs 10,000 more affordable than the previous model. It also features a drag race timer and a 0-60kph timer, which are segment-first features. I think these updates make the Xtreme 160R 2V a compelling option in its segment.
Wednesday, 11 September 2024 07:46 AM Hero MotoCorp has introduced the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V with a focus on design and features, retaining the distinctive lines of the previous model but with a new Stealth Black color and red accents. The bike is equipped with LED headlights, a digital display, and Bluetooth connectivity, along with a USB charging port. I believe these additions make the bike more appealing to modern riders.
Wednesday, 11 September 2024 06:28 AM The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder engine, producing 14.79 bhp and 14 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The bike features a steel frame, telescopic fork at the front, and a monoshock at the rear, along with 17-inch alloy wheels. I think the balance between performance and comfort is well-executed in this model.
Tuesday, 10 September 2024 08:25 AM Hero MotoCorp has emphasized the affordability of the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V, pricing it at Rs 1.11 lakh, which is significantly lower than its competitors like the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Bajaj Pulsar N150. This pricing strategy could help Hero gain more market share in the 160cc segment. I believe this move will attract a lot of budget-conscious buyers.
Tuesday, 10 September 2024 03:50 PM The braking system of the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V includes a 276mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, supported by single-channel ABS. This setup is designed to provide adequate braking performance while keeping costs in check. I think this is a practical approach given the bikes target market.
