Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati Multistrada 1260 is an exceptional machine that excels in multiple facets, making it a versatile and powerful choice for riders in India. Its 1,262cc, liquid-cooled L-twin engine delivers incredible performance, with a robust mid-range and a thrilling top-end that makes it a joy to ride on both highways and twisty roads. The bikes handling is superb, thanks to its updated geometry and the electronic Ducati Skyhook Sachs DSS Evo suspension, which provides excellent stability and comfort. However, it does come with some drawbacks, such as a heavy clutch, discomfort in heavy traffic, and a gearing that feels too tall for Indian riding conditions. Despite these, the Multistrada 1260s advanced electronics, including cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control, make it a safe and enjoyable ride. For those who value exclusivity and the latest technology, this bike is a dream come true, but for others, the 1260 S might offer better value.
Price
In India, the Ducati Multistrada 1260, particularly the Pikes Peak and Enduro variants, come with a significant price tag. The ex-showroom price for the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak can be around Rs 23.5 lakh, while the Enduro variant might be slightly lower, around Rs 20 lakh. However, once you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes, registration, and insurance, the prices can escalate to around Rs 28-30 lakh for the Pikes Peak and Rs 25-27 lakh for the Enduro. This places the Multistrada 1260 firmly in the premium segment, making it a substantial investment for any buyer. Despite the high cost, the bikes performance, features, and build quality justify the price for those seeking a top-tier riding experience.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 06:52 AM
The mileage of the Ducati Multistrada 1260 in India is not its strongest suit, given its powerful engine and heavy build. On average, you can expect around 15-20 kml in mixed riding conditions, which translates to a range of about 225 miles (around 362 kilometers) with its 19-liter fuel tank. This is reasonable considering the bikes performance capabilities, but it may not be the most economical choice for long-distance touring without frequent fuel stops. However, for riders who prioritize performance and comfort over fuel efficiency, the Multistrada 1260s mileage is a trade-off worth considering.
