Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring is a versatile and powerful motorcycle that excels in various riding conditions. With its Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) engine, it offers smooth and refined performance even at low speeds, a significant improvement over previous Ducati models. The bikes handling is exceptional, thanks to its advanced electronics, including cornering ABS and traction control, and the semi-adaptive Sachs suspension. However, it does come with some drawbacks, such as its fuel efficiency, which hovers around 16-17.5 kml, and the high maintenance costs, particularly in Indian conditions where service intervals are shorter and spares are expensive. Despite these, the Multistrada 1200 S Touring is a joy to ride, offering a unique blend of power, comfort, and technology that makes it a standout in the adventure-touring segment.
Price
In India, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring comes with a substantial price tag. The ex-showroom price can range from around 18 lakhs to 20 lakhs, depending on the region and any customizations. Once you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price can easily exceed 22 lakhs. While this is certainly on the higher side, the advanced technology, superior build quality, and the prestige of owning a Ducati justify the cost for serious enthusiasts. However, the high price also means that maintenance and spare parts will be costly, which is something potential buyers need to consider.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 05:31 PM
The mileage of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring in India is a concern for those looking to manage running costs. With a fuel efficiency of around 16-17.5 kml, it is not the most economical option. This means that frequent fuel stops will be necessary, especially on long tours. While the bikes performance and features make it a compelling choice, the lower fuel efficiency is a trade-off that buyers need to be aware of when considering this motorcycle.

Fun to ride bike. Packed with features and power. Top speed experienced is 216 kmph. Felt like it can easily do 230 kmph. Ride quality is plush. Have done long rides and it feels really great. With panniers and top case, it has enough storage for touring.
Best Features: Suspension and Power
Pros: Superb acceleration, great comfort, wonderful balance, nice suspension, console.
Cons: Not much of a sound with stock exhaust.
