Our take on this /// Verdict
The BMW F 850 GS Adventure is a compelling choice for those seeking a versatile and comfortable adventure motorcycle in India. My experience with this bike has been nothing short of impressive, particularly in its ability to handle both on-road and off-road terrains with ease. The 853cc parallel-twin engine, producing 95hp and 92Nm, offers a strong mid-range performance that makes it engaging to ride. The bikes comfort is exceptional, thanks to its well-placed controls, adjustable windscreen, and electronically adjustable suspension. However, the notchy gearbox and lack of front-end adjustability are minor drawbacks. Overall, the F 850 GS Adventure is a well-rounded package that balances performance, comfort, and features, making it a strong contender in the middleweight adventure motorcycle category.
Price
In India, the BMW F 850 GS Adventure is priced competitively at Rs 13.25 lakh ex-showroom. When you factor in the additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the on-road price can range from approximately Rs 16.5 lakh to Rs 17.5 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the F 850 GS Adventure an attractive option compared to its rivals like the Ducati Multistrada 950 and the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro, which are priced higher. The additional features such as a bigger 23-litre fuel tank, auxiliary lights, and crash guards justify the slight premium over the standard F 850 GS.
BMW F850GSA on road price is Rs 15.83 lakh in Delhi, Rs 16.36 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 16.02 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 16.22 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest BMW dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 14 August 2024 04:38 PM
The BMW F850 GS Adventure has recently seen some significant owner modifications, including a mobile mount relocation to improve visibility and safety. The old mount required looking down, which could be hazardous, and the new mount is now in the line of sight. This modification was done at a BMW service center and cost around Rs. 16,500. I believe this small change can make a big difference in rider safety and convenience.

I think these updates enhance the bikes appeal and functionality.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
