Hyosung Aquila 300

About
The Hyosung Aquila GV300 is a cruiser motorcycle that replaced the older Aquila 250 model. It features a 275cc V-twin, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 26bhp and 23.5Nm of torque. The bike is designed for comfort and style, with a low-slung cruiser build, a round headlamp, a tear-drop tank, and split seats. It comes equipped with dual-channel Bosch ABS, 300mm front and 270mm rear disc brakes, and 10-spoke black finish alloy wheels. The bike has a 14-litre fuel tank and a single speedometer with an integrated multi-information display. While it lacks some of the premium features and build quality of more expensive cruisers, it offers a compelling package for those looking for a stylish and comfortable ride on a budget. The Aquila GV300 is particularly suited for long highway rides and provides a comfortable riding posture with its upright handlebars and well-cushioned seats. However, it has been discontinued in India, so any purchases would need to be from the used market.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyosung Aquila GV300 is a cruiser that offers a unique blend of style, comfort, and performance, although it has its share of drawbacks. The bikes 275cc V-twin engine, producing 26bhp and 23.5Nm of torque, provides a smooth and linear power delivery, making it suitable for long highway rides. However, the engine lacks the raw power and distinctive rumble of larger V-twin engines, such as those found in Harley-Davidson models. The bikes handling is commendable, with front and rear monoshock suspension and dual-channel ABS, but the rear suspension can feel stiff, and the braking system, while adequate, is not exceptional. The build quality, while generally good, falls short in some areas, particularly with the plastic parts. Overall, its a good option for those seeking a cruiser on a budget, but it may not impress those looking for high-performance or premium build quality.
Price
The Hyosung Aquila GV300 was priced around Rs. 3,00,000 ex-showroom at the time of its launch. However, since the bike has been discontinued in India as of April 2020, current prices would be based on the used market or any remaining stock. On-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, would have been approximately Rs. 3.5 to Rs. 4 lakhs when it was new. For those considering purchasing a used model, prices can vary widely depending on the bikes condition, mileage, and location. Its essential to check with local dealers or online marketplaces for the most accurate pricing.
Latest Updates
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 10:41 PM The Hyosung Aquila GV300, a retro-neo-styled cruiser, is expected to enter the Indian market soon, offering a unique blend of old-school design and modern technology. This 300cc V-twin engine bike promises a maximum power of 29.64 BHP and 25.60 NM of torque, making it a compelling option for those seeking a relaxed riding experience. I think this bike could be a great addition to Indias cruiser segment.
Friday, 25 October 2024 08:01 PM Hyosung has emphasized the comfort and handling of the Aquila GV300, featuring a steel cradle frame, upright hydraulic telescopic fork suspension, and adjustable spring-loaded double shock absorbers at the rear. This setup is designed to provide a smooth ride on both highways and city roads. I believe the suspension system will be a key selling point for this bike.
Tuesday, 01 October 2024 12:22 AM The Hyosung Aquila GV300 comes equipped with dual-channel ABS, enhancing braking safety. The bike also features tubeless tires with dimensions of 120/80-16” at the front and 150/80-15” at the rear, which should provide good grip and stability. This safety feature is a must-have in todays market, and I think its a wise move by Hyosung.
Sunday, 15 September 2024 06:32 PM With a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 liters, the Hyosung Aquila GV300 is expected to offer a decent range, with claimed mileage of around 35-40 kmpl. This fuel efficiency, combined with its EFI system, makes it an attractive option for long rides. I think the fuel economy will be a significant factor for potential buyers.
Tuesday, 20 August 2024 09:13 PM The bike boasts a stylish design with a matte-black finish on the alloy rims and exterior components, giving it a sleek and attractive look. The retro-neo styling is likely to appeal to riders who appreciate classic designs with modern touches. I believe the design will be a major draw for this bike.
Sunday, 28 July 2024 02:53 PM Hyosung has confirmed that the Aquila GV300 will have a top speed of around 130 kmph, which is respectable for a cruiser in its class. This, combined with its comfortable riding position, makes it suitable for both city commuting and highway cruising. I think this balance of speed and comfort will be appealing to many riders.
Saturday, 22 June 2024 09:25 AM The Hyosung Aquila GV300 features a 6-speed transmission with a manual multi-plate wet-type clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifts and efficient power delivery. The engines DOHC 4-valve setup per cylinder also contributes to its performance and fuel efficiency. I believe this transmission system will enhance the overall riding experience.
Wednesday, 15 May 2024 07:51 PM The bikes seat height is 1048 mm, which is relatively high but manageable for most riders. However, there are other variants like the GV 300 S Aquila with a lower seat height of 740 mm, catering to a broader range of riders. I think the adjustable seat height options will be beneficial for different rider preferences.
Wednesday, 10 April 2024 05:47 AM Hyosung has not yet announced the official price for the Aquila GV300 in India, but it is expected to be competitive with other cruisers in the market. Given its features and performance, it could be priced around Rs. 3-4 lakhs. I think the pricing will be crucial in determining its market success.

Classic cruiser

It has been almost a decade when the Hyosung Aquila 250 was introduced in India. It's first version was launched in 2003. I am riding this bike from last one year. It is an amazing bike with real cruiser feel. It has front disc brakes but, on the rear side it lacks disc brakes which is little disappointing. Apart from that it gives good performance as its engine is very powerful. At low speeds Aquila returns 33.2kmpl on the highway and 28.7kmpl in the city giving it an overall figure of 29.8kmpl – a fair figure for a 250cc twin. It has limited service outlets so, I face problem while going for service sessions.

Best Features: Powerful engine and smooth running

Pros: Classic Looks, Strong build quality, Comfortable

Cons: Lack of 6 speed Transmission, Absence of Rear Disc Brake, Limited service network

Most Powerful Cruiser

I loved to ride cruiser bikes. I was looking for a bike which was amazing in style, looks, design, performance etc. simply called a perfect combination of all modern features. When I got Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro a year back, I was on cloud nine. It is a great combination of classy robust look. Its engine is based on the Suzuki’s SV650 engine and achieved top speed of 195 kmph. A certain vibrations are felt in the higher rev. In terms of looks and style it will give you complete satisfaction for your buck. The Hyosung GV650 Aquilla Pro surprised me with its ability to move around the traffic in the busy traffic hours when roads are full of vehicles in a city like Mumbai Or Delhi. If I talking about sitting posture, rider needs to stretch their legs completely to reach the gear sifter and the rear back pedal. As I am 6 feet tall so, I really feel sitting home at this bike. Braking system is also very good. The 300 mm twin discs on the front side are hold with twin-piston calipers that are feel like as though they are four-piston units. The company has limited service outlets in India due to this I faced problems while go for servicing.

Best Features: Style and design

Pros: Powerful Engine, Value For Money, Comfort, Stylish

Cons: Vibrations, Lack of 6th Gear, Limited Sales and service outlets

I Simply Loved the Looks..

I have been riding Pulsar since I was 18 years old and still continue to do so at 27 years. But from the last one year Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro became my new companion. Yeah, when I compare it with my Pulsar - it felt extremely awkward. The Aquila is very well designed machine that supports a good riding position and amazing style. Its look is the main factor which make it different from other cruisers. It allows me good stability and comfort at even 80 speed with no vibrations. But,I get small vibrations between 80-100 kmph. As I m living in Kolkata, I have to be patience in the terms of speed. I never crossed 110 yet. It delivers me 13km/h average on city roads which I don't bother much. Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is huge and heavy, thus handling requires good stamina. Overall, a good bike for fun ride. The only problem of this bike lies in ground clearance as its bottom hits speed breakers sometime.
