USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyosung Aquila Pro GV650 is a mixed bag for potential buyers in India. On the positive side, it offers a stunning appearance with ample chrome elements, a comfortable riding position, and a powerful 674cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that delivers 75.02PS and 62.1 Nm of torque. The bikes suspension system, comprising upside-down forks and a twin shock absorber setup, provides a jerk-free ride, making it ideal for long highway cruises. However, there are several drawbacks to consider. The bike is quite heavy, which can make it difficult to maneuver, especially in city traffic. Additionally, it suffers from low ground clearance, heating issues, and reliability concerns, including frequent electrical and battery problems. The resale value is also a significant concern, as it tends to depreciate rapidly. Overall, while the Aquila Pro GV650 has its attractions, it requires careful consideration of its pros and cons before making a purchase decision.
Price
The Hyosung Aquila Pro GV650 was re-launched in India in 2018 with an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.5 lakhs. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can easily exceed Rs 6.5 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Aquila Pro GV650 in a competitive segment against other cruisers like the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, although it is priced higher than the latter. Given the features and performance, the price seems reasonable for those looking for a high-performance cruiser, but the overall value for money is questionable due to the bikes reliability and maintenance issues.
Latest Updates
Tuesday, 31 March 2020 01:40 PM Despite its impressive specs and features, the Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS was discontinued in India in March 2020. The bike had competed with the likes of the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 but failed to gain significant market traction. I think this discontinuation highlights the competitive nature of the Indian motorcycle market.
Monday, 29 October 2018 09:57 AM The Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS was re-launched in India in October 2018 with a price tag of Rs 5.5 lakhs (ex-showroom pan-India). This cruiser features a 647cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin engine producing 75.02 PS of power and 62.1 Nm of torque. It comes with dual-channel ABS, a digital speedometer, and a sleek design. I think this is a great value for a 650cc cruiser, especially with the added safety of ABS.
Monday, 29 October 2018 02:19 AM The Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS was noted for its substantial chrome elements, digital speedometer, and comfortable riding experience. The bike uses a perimeter cradle frame with upside-down forks and a twin shock absorber setup, providing a jerk-free ride. This cruiser is ideal for long highway cruises, offering both performance and comfort. I believe the suspension system is one of its standout features.
Monday, 29 October 2018 02:16 AM The Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS features adaptable foot pegs and a belt drive, enhancing its overall performance and handling. The bikes design includes a telescopic shock absorber at the front and a hydraulic double shock absorber at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride. I believe these features make it a compelling option for those looking for a comfortable cruiser.
Monday, 29 October 2018 07:29 AM The Aquila Pro ABS comes in three different shades: Shadow Black, Lava Red, and Phantom Silver. This variety in color options adds to the bikes appeal, making it more attractive to potential buyers. I think the color options are a nice touch, giving buyers some personalization choices.
Monday, 29 October 2018 05:40 PM The Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS is known for its powerful 647cc engine, which produces 75.02 PS of power and 62.1 Nm of torque. This makes it a strong contender in the cruiser segment, offering both performance and style. However, it is quite heavy with a kerb weight of 240 kg. I believe the power-to-weight ratio is something to consider for potential buyers.
Monday, 29 October 2018 12:53 PM The bikes safety features include a pass light switch, which provides extra safety assurance while driving through heavy traffic. This, combined with the dual-channel ABS, makes the Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS a safer option for riders. I think these safety features are essential for any modern motorcycle.
Monday, 29 October 2018 04:30 PM The Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS was praised for its exceptional comfort and huge appearance, making it a standout in the cruiser segment. However, it was also noted for being not so fuel efficient, with a mileage of around 18 kmpl. I believe this is a trade-off many riders might be willing to make for the bikes performance and comfort.
Tuesday, 30 January 2018 12:43 AM The 2018 Hyosung Aquila Pro ABS saw no mechanical changes but received new colors and the essential safety feature of dual-channel ABS. The bike continues to use a 5-speed gearbox and features twin 300mm discs at the front and a single 270mm disc at the rear. This update was crucial for meeting upcoming safety regulations. I think the addition of ABS was a welcome move, even if the rest of the bike remained unchanged.
Monday, 29 January 2018 04:39 PM In January 2018, DSK, the official distributor of Hyosung motorcycles in India, introduced the Aquila Pro with a dual-channel ABS system. This update was ahead of the mandatory ABS implementation deadline in 2019. The bikes mechanicals remained unchanged, with the 647cc V-twin engine still producing 74 bhp of power and 62.1 Nm of torque. I believe this move was a significant step towards enhancing safety features in the segment.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 12:13 AM The mileage of the Hyosung Aquila Pro GV650 varies based on riding conditions. On the highway, the bike can deliver around 24-25 kmpl when cruising at speeds of about 100 kmph. However, if you exceed 120 kmph, the mileage drops to around 20-22 kmpl. In city traffic, the bikes mileage is significantly lower, ranging from 17-18 kmpl, largely due to the frequent stops and starts which also contribute to heating issues. This fuel efficiency is not particularly impressive for a bike in its class, and the heavy weight and powerful engine contribute to its relatively low mileage. As a Super Bike , there is no super service and if you compare with other bike like Hero has give very affordable service. After warming up engine or after 25-50 km with 75% throttle , if engine will stop ,then restart never can smoothly. I always face with 1st gear. I also complained with my 1st service at BBSR , but no one find out..may be good service engineer not available at BBSr...Very Bad service ...I requesting plz DSK look after that matter on priority basis

Best Features: Looks & mileage

Pros: I owned that bike on 03-03-2016 from BBSR, with lots of excitement...Vehicle looks is ok and mileage is very good if you compare with other.

Cons: Very Bad Service and nill performance

Classic cruiser

It has been almost a decade when the Hyosung Aquila 250 was introduced in India. It's first version was launched in 2003. I am riding this bike from last one year. It is an amazing bike with real cruiser feel. It has front disc brakes but, on the rear side it lacks disc brakes which is little disappointing. Apart from that it gives good performance as its engine is very powerful. At low speeds Aquila returns 33.2kmpl on the highway and 28.7kmpl in the city giving it an overall figure of 29.8kmpl – a fair figure for a 250cc twin. It has limited service outlets so, I face problem while going for service sessions.

Best Features: Powerful engine and smooth running

Pros: Classic Looks, Strong build quality, Comfortable

Cons: Lack of 6 speed Transmission, Absence of Rear Disc Brake, Limited service network

Most Powerful Cruiser

I loved to ride cruiser bikes. I was looking for a bike which was amazing in style, looks, design, performance etc. simply called a perfect combination of all modern features. When I got Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro a year back, I was on cloud nine. It is a great combination of classy robust look. Its engine is based on the Suzuki’s SV650 engine and achieved top speed of 195 kmph. A certain vibrations are felt in the higher rev. In terms of looks and style it will give you complete satisfaction for your buck. The Hyosung GV650 Aquilla Pro surprised me with its ability to move around the traffic in the busy traffic hours when roads are full of vehicles in a city like Mumbai Or Delhi. If I talking about sitting posture, rider needs to stretch their legs completely to reach the gear sifter and the rear back pedal. As I am 6 feet tall so, I really feel sitting home at this bike. Braking system is also very good. The 300 mm twin discs on the front side are hold with twin-piston calipers that are feel like as though they are four-piston units. The company has limited service outlets in India due to this I faced problems while go for servicing.

Best Features: Style and design

Pros: Powerful Engine, Value For Money, Comfort, Stylish

Cons: Vibrations, Lack of 6th Gear, Limited Sales and service outlets

I Simply Loved the Looks..

I have been riding Pulsar since I was 18 years old and still continue to do so at 27 years. But from the last one year Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro became my new companion. Yeah, when I compare it with my Pulsar - it felt extremely awkward. The Aquila is very well designed machine that supports a good riding position and amazing style. Its look is the main factor which make it different from other cruisers. It allows me good stability and comfort at even 80 speed with no vibrations. But,I get small vibrations between 80-100 kmph. As I m living in Kolkata, I have to be patience in the terms of speed. I never crossed 110 yet. It delivers me 13km/h average on city roads which I don't bother much. Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is huge and heavy, thus handling requires good stamina. Overall, a good bike for fun ride. The only problem of this bike lies in ground clearance as its bottom hits speed breakers sometime.
