Hyosung Aquila 125
Hyosung Variant
General information and overview
The Hyosung Aquila 125 is an attractive and well-constructed cruiser-style motorcycle that belies its 125cc engine capacity with its big bike looks. It features a liquid-cooled 60º V-twin engine, which is a rarity in this segment and adds to its cruiser credentials. The bike has chunky tyres on 16 and 15 black spoked rims, giving it a robust appearance. With a seat height of just 710mm and a low center of gravity, it is very accessible for new riders. The bike also comes with a Combined Braking System (CBS) and meets Euro5 emission standards. Its power output of approximately 13.3 horsepower is more than class-competitive, and the bike handles well in both urban and rural settings. Overall, the Aquila 125 is a compelling choice for anyone looking for a stylish, learner-friendly cruiser with good performance and economy.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Hyosung Aquila 125 is a standout in the 125cc segment, particularly for its cruiserbobber style and the unique V-twin engine. This bike looks much larger than its engine capacity suggests, which can be an advantage in terms of road presence. The V-twin engine produces a pleasing note and delivers power consistently throughout the rev range, making it feel more robust than typical single-cylinder 125cc bikes. The low seat height and light clutch make it very accessible for new riders, and its agility around town is commendable. However, the bike is slightly heavy for its class, and the mirrors can be a bit shaky at high speeds. Overall, its a great option for those looking for a learner-friendly cruiser with big bike aspirations.
