Did the Zen Estilo's fuel efficiency live up to Maruti's reputation?
30 December 2024 10:07
In my experience, it was pretty good on fuel. Not as amazing as some other Marutis, but still economical.
Will the Maruti eVX’s expected price point be a game changer in the Indian EV market?
30 December 2024 10:01
I don't see how they can go that low without killing battery or functionality. I guess it will come to be somewhere around 18-20 lakhs.
Can Maruti be able to transfer its reliability reputation to the eVX and the EV space?
30 December 2024 10:01
Reliability isn’t just about the car not breaking down. It’s also about the charging network, and the software updates. Those are nails Maruti needs to get right.
Will the range offered by the Maruti eVX be enough to overcome India's charging infrastructure concerns?
30 December 2024 10:01
Over time I'm worried about range degradation. The battery, however, needs to hold up in Indian conditions, and Maruti has to make sure of that.
What will the Maruti eVX be feature and tech wise compared to established EV players?
30 December 2024 10:01
They should concentrate on bringing smartphone integration. For most Indians, it’s about their phone working without a hitch with the car, rather than the features built into the car.
Is the Maruti eVX too futuristic for the Indian market?
30 December 2024 10:01
It's a smart move. They're going after a younger buyer who wants something that's different. Other options will still be available to the traditional Maruti customers.
Have you ever seen or heard of the craziest Maruti Zen mod ever?
30 December 2024 09:53
I’ve heard of someone who turned their Zen into an electric car. So they stripped out the engine and installed an electric motor and batteries. If you ask me, pretty cool eco mod.
Which is your favorite memory associated with the Maruti Zen?
30 December 2024 09:53
Our family Zen, picking up my newborn from the hospital. By today’s standards it might not have been the safest, but it was the perfect family car at that time.
If Maruti was to bring back Zen today, what would be the features you would want?
30 December 2024 09:53
How about a Zen hot hatch? It’s a small turbocharged engine, sporty suspension, perhaps even paddle shifters. It could be a cheaper fun alternative to the bigger, more expensive hot hatches.
What was so special about the Maruti Zen against other hatchbacks of that time?
30 December 2024 09:53
It was aspirational, but not unattainable. Having a Zen signified that you had 'made it' in a way, but there were still plenty of people who could.
Is the CNG variant of the WagonR actually worth it in the long run?
30 December 2024 09:45
It depends on your usage. If you’re doing high mileage daily, then CNG is the way to go. For occasional drivers, however, they may not find it worth the hassle of finding CNG stations.
From so many new options in the market, why do people still purchase the WagonR?
30 December 2024 09:45
It's simple - reliability. I still have my dad's WagonR, its 10 years old and still running strong. If you know what works, why experiment with new models?
The WagonR's relatively high seating position: Is a safety feature or is it a rollover risk?
30 December 2024 09:45
I think it's a bit of both. Great visibility for daily driving, but I wouldn’t want to do any aggressive maneuvers in it. It's all about what you can do to drive within the car's limits.
The WagonR's boxy design is a blessing or a curse?
30 December 2024 09:45
It’s become iconic at this point, I think. Yes, it's not the prettiest car, but you know it the second you see it. In a sea of lookalike hatchbacks, that’s something to be said for.
Does the Maruti Tour S STD make the trade off in features and comfort for fuel efficiency worth it?
30 December 2024 09:38
It’s not just the features, it’s the long term costs. These cost less to run on fuel and in maintenance so they can save quite a bit of money over time.
The Tour S STD’s reliability in Maruti Vs Other Budget Sedans.
30 December 2024 09:38
Resale value is where the real test of reliability is. Tour S STDs keep their value well, that speaks volumes about how people see them in the market.
Does the Maruti Tour S STD's success in the commercial market unfairly inflate Maruti's sales numbers?
30 December 2024 09:38
We shouldn’t ignore commercial buyers. The car’s quality is often reflected by the fact that they demand much stricter requirements for reliability and efficiency.
Is the Maruti Tour S STD just a stripped down Dzire for taxi fleets?
30 December 2024 09:38
I work as a taxi driver so the Tour S STD is nice. It’s affordable, and it does the job without all the frills passengers don’t care about in the first place.
Does the private buyer mind that the Maruti Tour S STD has a taxi image?
30 December 2024 09:38
If I was a young buyer, I would avoid it. The first impression matters and I don’t want people to think I’m an Uber driver every time I pick someone up.
Is the Maruti Tour V (O) a glorified taxi or a practical family car?
30 December 2024 09:27
It depends on your priorities, I think. If you only require a simple, roomy car from time to time, and don’t mind not having any frills, the Tour V (O) may suit. I would say though that for daily family use you may want to spend a bit more for something with better safety features and comfort.
