Is the Maruti eVX too futuristic for the Indian market?
While Maruti Suzuki has been known for its conservative designs that appeal to a wide variety of Indian consumers, this is the first time that we have seen a more futuristic design from the company. They've taken bold step into futuristic territory with the eVX. Maruti's usual style is a far cry from this angular lines, LED light bars and overall sci fi aesthetic. These questions arise if the Indian market, which usually prefers traditional and practical designs, is ready for such a step from a brand they are used to seeing as reliable and affordable. Will Maruti's traditional customer base be alienated by eVX's design, or will it help them capture a new, tech savvy audience? There's also the debate of whether this design direction is a broader shift of Maruti's brand identity moving into the EV era.

I’m worried it will be all show and no go. That flashy design needs to be backed up by solid EV performance and range.

You guys are missing the point here. It’s the perfect futuristic design for an EV. It means this is completely new from Maruti.

I think it's a bit too much. Indian roads are rough and all those fancy angles and creases don’t look like they’ll be easy to keep clean and maintain.

It's a smart move. They're going after a younger buyer who wants something that's different. Other options will still be available to the traditional Maruti customers.

It’s a cool design, but will it age well? Simpler designs are timeless and in 5 years it may look dated.

I'm not sure, man. One thing Maruti has always been good at is making cars that are just there, blending in and doing the job. Maybe this would be too much of a leap.

Maruti must shake things up, it’s about time! It’s going to turn heads and the eVX looks sick. What we need are more exciting designs on Indian roads.
