Can the Flying Flea's design be too radical for traditional Royal Enfield fans?
09 January 2025 10:19
RE taking risks is pretty awesome, I think. The Flying Flea is sick and I can tell they're not stuck in the past.
What does the overall riding experience of the Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 is compared to other middleweight cruisers?
09 January 2025 10:14
It is in a league of its own. It's not trying to be a Harley or a Japanese cruiser. The RE is what you want if you want something that turns heads and has a backstory to it. If you’re looking for cutting edge tech, look elsewhere.
Is the Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 as customizable as other bikes in its class?
09 January 2025 10:14
It’s not as customizable as one might expect. Yes, you could add some chrome bits and switch out the seat, but it’s still modest mods. A few years from now, I can see the scene exploding, though.
Is the Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 as reliable and as well built as the hype suggests?
09 January 2025 10:14
I've put 20,000 km on my Cruiser 650 and it's rock solid. It's not Japanese level reliable, but it's a lot better than REs of old. As long as you keep up with maintenance you’ll be fine.
Can the Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 be a good choice for long distance touring?
09 January 2025 10:14
A laid back touring bike, it is. The Cruiser 650 is a great choice if you don’t mind the journey and you are not in a hurry. It won’t keep up with dedicated touring bikes on long highway stretches, but it’s a fun way to get around.
Is upgrading from a 350cc bike to Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 worth it?
09 January 2025 10:14
The 650 is definitely an upgrade, but don’t expect it to be a rocket. But it’s still a Royal Enfield, so it’s more about the experience than outright performance. If that’s okay with you, go for it!
Does the chrome finish of the Mr Clean edition stand the test of time?
09 January 2025 10:09
I've seen some bad examples, but I don't think it's because of the bike, I think that's down to owner neglect.
How much customizable is the Continental GT 650 Mr Clean from other Royal Enfield models?

How does the Continental GT 650 Mr Clean fare on long rides as a cafe racer?
09 January 2025 10:09
Good for short trips, but anything longer than 2 hours and my wrists are screaming. Need to mod for long rides though.

Although there are many bikes that give you the same feel, nothing comes close to the Classic 500 for an authentic vintage experience. They may have new school guts, but they’re just pretenders with old school looks.

It depends on your lifestyle. If you're the weekend rider who likes to detail, then go for it. Those looking to save a buck may want to stick with the standard finish and daily commuters might as well.
So, is the Chrome Edition really any different than the classic 500?
09 January 2025 09:58
Nah, it's all in your head. It’s exactly the same engine and components. The difference you feel is all just the placebo effect of riding a shinier bike.
