Discussions and Questions Royal Enfield - Page 13

Is Goan Classic 350 a marketing gimmick or a unique offering in itself?
09 January 2025 09:36
I think it's a bit of both. It's cool that the new features are there, but RE has thrown everything at the wall to see what sticks. They should have just made these customization options.
How does the paint of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Stealth Black stand the test of time?
09 January 2025 09:30
I've had mine solid for 2 years. Of course, the key here is to keep it clean and use a good matte protectant. It's not easy, but it's worth it for the one of a kind look.
Does all black look of Royal Enfield Classic 350 Stealth Black impact its resale value?
09 January 2025 09:30
I tried to sell mine and it was more difficult than I imagined. It has a reputation for being a lot of maintenance, and some people love it, and some people can't stand it. It was harder to sell than my friend's standard color.
How is riding the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Stealth Black at night different from other colours?
09 January 2025 09:30
This thing is awesome for night riding. When light hits the black, it absorbs the light instead of reflecting it, which reduces glare from oncoming headlights. Make sure that your lights work well.
Is the extra maintenance on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Stealth Black worth it?
09 January 2025 09:30
It depends on your lifestyle. If you don’t mind spending more time on cleaning and being cautious, then go for it. If you're looking for a low maintenance ride, however, maybe choose another color.
Is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Stealth Black actually stealthy to ride?
09 January 2025 09:30
Stealthy? No way! The thing is, it actually gets more attention because it looks so different from all the other bikes on the road. People always ask about it.
Is the tubeless spoke wheel upgrade on the Classic 350 Bobber worth its higher price?
09 January 2025 09:24
It’s a nice feature, but I’m not going to pay that much more money for it. You'd probably be able to get aftermarket tubeless wheels for less.
Will the Classic 350 Bobber appeal to fans of traditional Royal Enfield or will it attract a new crowd?
09 January 2025 09:24
I think it will mostly appeal to existing RE fans that want something a little different. It’s not radical enough to attract a whole new crowd.
How does the Classic 350 Bobber fare as compared to other factory bobbers out there?
09 January 2025 09:24
This is great for beginners or anyone who desires the bobber look without the intimidation of performance. Not everyone needs to be a tire shredder.
Is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber a real bobber or just a cosmetic makeover?
09 January 2025 09:24
It's certainly more cosmetic. All they did was slap on some white wall tires and say that was it. This is a real bobber, stripped way down.
Comparing the riding position of the Classic 350 Bobber and the standard Classic 350.
09 January 2025 09:24
I actually like the more upright position of the standard Classic as someone with back issues. I think the Bobber is a little too hunched.
Is the Classic 350 a good two up ride?
09 January 2025 09:20
I think it’s great for two up riding around the city. Even with a passenger, it’s narrow enough to still filter through traffic. Just keep in mind that the acceleration is reduced.
Is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 really a highway friendly bike?
09 January 2025 09:20
I've been on highways on my Classic 350 enough. It definitely won’t be winning any races, but it cruises along nicely at 60 – 65 mph. You just need to set your expectations right – it’s not a sport bike, it’s a relaxed cruiser.
How has the Classic 350 built over the years?
09 January 2025 09:20
I've had mine for 15,000 miles in 2 years. It's been held up better than I expected to be honest. All was well, just routine maintenance. It’s solid mechanically, and the paint still looks great.
How customizable is the Classic 350 when compared with other bikes in its class?
09 January 2025 09:20
A blank canvas is what the Classic 350 is. RE and third party parts are plentiful. I have changed the seat, the handlebars and the exhaust and it feels like a completely different bike.
But how does the Classic 350 fare in heavy traffic as a daily commuter?
09 January 2025 09:20
Parking can be a pain. However you will find it not so easy to maneuver in tight spots as smaller bikes. On the upside, though, people tend to give it more space because it looks cool.
What will the Classic 650's pricing strategy mean for it in terms of success in different markets?
09 January 2025 09:15
Different pricing strategies should be considered for different markets by RE. If they have to pick one, maybe they just position it as a premium option in India, but go for a more aggressive, value oriented approach in Western markets where they still have to build brand recognition.
Is the Classic 650 nothing more than a bigger Classic 350, or does it add something new to the table?
09 January 2025 09:15
I do think it brings something new, which is a proper mid size retro bike that can actually keep up with modern traffic. The 350 is fantastic in the city, but the 650 should be able to do it all without breaking a sweat.
Is the Classic 650 too heavy for some riders?
09 January 2025 09:15
It’s pretty hefty, 243kg, no way around it. You’ll find it to be a pain to manoeuvre in tight spots, or if you need to push it around. Shorter or less experienced riders might find this to be a dealbreaker.
Which one of the two would be more appealing?
09 January 2025 09:15
Different crowd will attract. The Interceptor feels more like a competitor to Triumph (and other retro modern bikes) than a competitor to the Rocket. People who are looking for the pure, unadulterated Royal Enfield experience will be the ones who'll get the Classic 650.
