How much customizable is the Continental GT 650 Mr Clean from other Royal Enfield models?
Modding potential is a big thing with Royal Enfield bikes, with a huge aftermarket scene. But the Mr Clean edition’s unique chrome finish makes for questions about how easy it is to customize without losing the signature look. A lot of riders debate with themselves whether or not it's worth modding a bike that has been designed to stand out on its own. Some view the chrome as not enough to interfere with the color matching of aftermarket parts, while for others it’s a blank canvas to create the most unique ride they can. Another point of discussion is that Mr Clean accessories and mods are available. But there is also debate over whether extensive modifications to a Mr Clean edition will hurt its resale value more than modding a standard GT 650. For example, some owners decide to keep their Mr Clean editions stock so as to keep the exclusivity, while others don’t think there’s any difference between them and the other Royal Enfields as far as customization is concerned.
You can get it just as customizable, but you have to be more mindful of color matching the chrome.
Mr Clean looks best stock I think. Why mess with perfection?
Tons of options out there. What’s interesting is that the chrome actually makes it even easier to mix and match different styles.
It's customizable, but you need to make sure that the parts you pick match the chrome.
I’ve seen some beautiful custom Mr Cleans. Creativity and vision is all it is.
Some options are limited by chrome, others are opened up. It's not the same type of canvas to work with.
I think kind of defeats the purpose of getting the Mr Clean edition.
That's not how customizable it is, that's how you make it customizable. The chrome finish is just one extra thing to work with.
