Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Matte Blue (Rear Disc) is a compelling choice in the 160cc segment, offering a blend of performance, style, and practicality. I find the bikes aggressive look, particularly in the matte blue color, to be quite appealing. The engine, with its 16.04 PS of power and 13.85 Nm of torque, provides a smooth and potent ride, making it enjoyable both in city traffic and on the highways. The bikes handling is impressive, with a double cradle frame and gas-charged rear shocks that make it nimble in corners and comfortable over rough roads. However, the vibrations that start to creep in at higher RPMs are a minor drawback. Overall, its a great option for those seeking a balance between performance and everyday usability.
Price
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Matte Blue (Rear Disc) is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is approximately 1,25,359. When you factor in the additional costs such as RTO, insurance, and other charges, the on-road price in Delhi comes out to be around 1,47,814. This pricing makes it a viable option against its competitors like the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Considering the features and performance it offers, the price seems justified, especially for those who value both style and functionality.

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

One of the most glamorous offerings from TVS, the Apache RTR 150 Matte Blue is known to be born with a racing gene. With an air-cooled 160 cc engine at its heart, the bike talks speed and utmost comfort. It competes in the market with the likes of Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet.

Coming to the design specifications, the beast inspired headlamps with an AHO feature gives the bike an aggressive stance while the engine cowl gets an aerodynamic razored design. The sleek LED tail lamps look fierce while the muscled tail cowl looks impressive. Powering the TVS Apache RTR 160 Matte Blue is a 159.7cc, 4-stroke, Single cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 15.2 Bhp @ 8500 rpm and an utmost torque of 13.1 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to the 5-speed gearbox. The race inspired engine offers faster pick up and allows the rider to handle the higher speed well.

The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front with a 105 mm stroke and the rear wheel gets a Monotube Inverted Gas-filled Shox (MIG) with spring aid. The TVS Apache RTR 160 Matte Blue gets a 270mm Petal Disc brake at the front and a 200mm Petal Disc brake at the rear. The race-inspired instrument console gets all the digital ratios with an analogue tachometer.  The larger fuel tank of 16 litres allows you to avoid fuel reruns and a low saddle height allows maximum comfort. The claimed top-speed of the bike is 118 kmph and it is known to cover 0-60 kmph in just a duration of 4.8 seconds. With a mileage of 40 kmpl, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is one of the most sought-after bikes from the brand.

Really very amazing bike of its segment.... very smooth running .. i love drive ...
It is far better than pulsar and cbz extreme..
Exhaust sound truly racing
I measured its pickup ... it take 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec. It depends on how u shift gears at correct RPM ... it .be vary with other drivers
And top speed i measured is 114.
Since im daily drive it appox. 50 km in city... i guess it give me an average of appox. 40~43 bt is better for city .. at any spped u drive it gave u this figure avg.
Performance and handling is amazing .. u can cut or overtake any vehicle at any time... in any situation... since my apache 160 has double disc... so i can stop it at any speed...
I .. u enjoy its riding...
Only one disadvantage: above 60 ... it start vibrate.. ur legs start shaken.
Only this is problm... bt upto 60 it is.. one of the best bike... even my father enjoyed its driving... who was driving before it yamah RX100.
