Triumph Street Triple (Old)

Triumph Street Triple is a naked motorcycle of Streetfighter class from the world renowned British manufacturing company Triumph Motorcycles. It was first launched by the end of 2007 and is based on Triumph Daytona 675 (re-tuned engine) and Triumph Speed Triple (design). It immediately gathered enough positive response to settle among the list of top motorcycles in the inventory of Triumph. It had got new angular headlights instead of the earlier circular ones in its 2012 model along with the increased power and torque figures of its engine. Recently, Triumph released the 2013 version of Street Triple with redesigned lighter frame, new bodywork and switchable ABS by the name of Triumph Street Triple ABS. While the engine remains the same as before, let's see what else this spectacular motorcycle is flaunting.

Triumph Street Triple ABS truly epitomizes the spirit of Triumph with its agility, power punch, character and great looks. It has got a narrow radiator side cover, a slender tail section, stylish front mudguard, a lean-looking fuel tank, sharp colors, a more engaging and better sound due to the new intake path through the frame, an aluminum beam twin spar front frame and a 2-piece high pressure die cast rear frame, beautiful twin-sided cast aluminum alloy swing arms, switchable ABS, removable rear number plate and indicator hanger for track riding, a stainless steel 3-into-1 exhaust system with low single-sided stainless steel silencer, a coded key immobilizer system, under seat storage with D lock, 5-spoke and 17-inch cast aluminum alloy wheels with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear radial tubeless tires, twin angular front halogen headlights, black rear view mirrors on a nicely positioned handlebar and a beautiful LED tail light.

The instrument console includes a multi-functional LCD pack with a digital speedometer, a fuel gauge, a trip computer, an analogue tachometer, a lap timer, a gear position indicator, a clock, programmable gear change lights, TPMS ready and switchable ABS. This magnificent bike has a length of 2055mm, a width of 740mm and a height of 1060mm as its dimensions along with a seat height of 800mm and has a large wheelbase of 1410mm for a stable and comfy ride. It has a rake and trail of 24.1-degrees and 99.6mm respectively and a fuel tank capacity of 17.4liters along with a wet weight of 183kgs.

Triumph Street Triple ABS has got a powerful 675cc, in-line 3-cylinders, 12-valves, liquid-cooled, DOHC based engine with a maximum power of 104.6bhp at 11,850rpm and a maximum torque of 68Nm at 9,750rpm and is mated with a 6-speed close-ratio gearbox transmission to give a top speed of almost 220kmph. It also has a bore and stroke of 74mm and 52.3mm respectively, a multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with SAI, an O-ring-chain type final drive, a wet multi-plate clutch and an oil capacity of 3.4liters.

Triumph Street Triple ABS has got 310mm diameter twin floating disk brakes with Nissin 2-piston sliding calipers at front and 220mm diameter single disk brake with Brembo single-piston caliper at rear. The switchable ABS is standard. The suspension system includes KYB 41mm upside down forks with 110mm wheel travel at front and KYB monoshock with 124.5mm wheel travel at rear.
