Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Kawasaki offers a wide range of motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market. This lineup includes everything from an entry-level W175 commuter to the hyper sports Ninja H2R, which is only intended for track use. But, there are some Kawasaki motorcycles that are not yet available in India.
One of them is the Ninja ZX-25R. In Indonesia, Kawasaki has released the updated ZX-25R. The Japanese supersport's latest iteration has received feature and design updates. While the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R has yet to officially arrive in India, someone in the country has already imported one. Samyy Ghosh (@beerbiker_samy) of Kolkata recently imported a brand-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R.
The Kawasaki fully-faired supersport is the world's smallest motorcycle with an inline-four engine that is currently on the market. Because the motorcycle was imported indirectly from outside, it would have been subject to exorbitant import duties. It means that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R could have cost Ghosh more than Rs 11 lakh. Ghosh also owns both previous-gen and current-gen Ninja ZX-10R models.
The same 249.8cc inline four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox powers the 2023 Ninja ZX-25R. It produces the same 51 hp of max power and a peak torque of 22.9 Nm as before. The engine is housed within a trellis frame, which is supported by 37mm USD front forks and a gas-charged rear shock. The braking system on the ZX-25R consists of a 310mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The setup rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
The fully-faired Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R differs significantly from the Ninja 250 sold elsewhere, with bodywork inspired by larger track-oriented Ninjas such as the ZX-6R and ZX-10R. The Ninja ZX-25R claims to be the world's most powerful 250cc motorcycle right now. The 2023 Ninja ZX-25R has a larger upswept exhaust than the previous model. Aside from that, there are no significant changes to the bike. The split LED headlight, compact visor, sporty graphics and decals, and split seat design are just a few of the highlights.
The 2023 Ninja ZX-25R is available in three variants: the base model, the ABS SE variant, and the top-spec Ninja ZX-25RR. New colour options for the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R have been introduced. The base model comes in Metallic Spark Black, which is essentially an all-black theme. Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray and Candy Persimmon Red are the colour options for the ZX-25R ABS SE variant. The top-spec Ninja ZX-25RR with Kawasaki Racing Team livery in Lime Green is probably the most appealing.
A fully digital TFT instrument console is one of the key updates for the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R. One significant advantage of the new TFT display is that it has significantly reduced clutter. The cockpit of the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R appears to be much more refined and sophisticated. The display is angled, which should allow for easy viewing.
Bluetooth connectivity is also available on the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R. Users should be able to pair their smartphones to access calls, text messages, and other functions. Kawasaki's Rideology app allows you to access your trip logs and maintenance schedule. Assist and slipper clutches, electronic throttle valves, a quick shifter, and traction control are among the advanced features. The bike features three power modes for adjusting power delivery based on user preferences and ride conditions.
It is unlikely that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R will be released in the Indian market anytime soon. The bike's price may limit its options in India. Still, with its track-focused performance and advanced tech features, the bike will undoubtedly be a lot of fun to ride.
