Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Performance
About
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a middleweight supersport bike that stands out in its segment with its unique blend of power, handling, and technology. Powered by a 636cc inline-four cylinder engine, it produces around 122bhp at 13,000rpm and 69Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm, making it a formidable performer on both the track and the road. The bike features a quickshifter, traction control, and ABS, enhancing both performance and safety. Its aggressive design and riding position are tailored for serious riders, with a perimeter frame, Showa suspension, and Diablo Rosso 4 tyres that provide exceptional handling and stability. The ZX-6R also boasts Nissin brakes with dual discs at the front and a single rotor at the rear, ensuring strong braking performance. While it may not be the most comfortable bike in city traffic due to its aggressive ergonomics, it comes into its own on the open road, offering an unparalleled riding experience that is hard to match in its class.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a powerhouse of a motorcycle that delivers an exhilarating riding experience, especially for those who crave the thrill of a supersport bike. The 636cc inline-four cylinder engine, though slightly tweaked for 2024 to meet stricter emission norms, still packs a punch with its dramatic acceleration and a soundtrack that is nothing short of mesmerizing. Once you cross the 6,000rpm mark, the bike transforms into a beast, offering brutal acceleration and precision handling that inspires confidence even at high speeds. The quickshifter is seamless, although the absence of an auto-blipper is a minor drawback. The bikes handling is exceptional, thanks to its beautifully engineered perimeter frame, Showa suspension, and sticky Diablo Rosso 4 tyres. However, the aggressive riding position and tall seat height can be physically demanding, especially in city traffic. Overall, the ZX-6R is a standout performer in the supersport segment, ideal for riders who are looking for an adrenaline-packed experience on both the track and the open road.
Price
In India, the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is priced competitively, considering its performance and features. The ex-showroom price for the ZX-6R is around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 13 lakh, depending on the region and any additional features or accessories. On-road prices can vary significantly due to state-specific taxes and other costs, but you can expect to pay somewhere between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 16 lakh. This pricing positions the ZX-6R as a premium offering in the supersport segment, but given its exceptional performance, handling, and the brands reputation, it is well worth the investment for serious motorcycle enthusiasts. The price also reflects the bikes advanced technology, including its quickshifter, traction control, and ABS, making it a solid choice for those seeking a high-performance riding experience.
Latest Updates

Kawasaki is homologating the 2025 model year Ninja ZX-6R for competition use in the WorldSSP Championship, marking a significant shift from its current 599cc capacity to 636cc. This change aims to align the race bike more closely with the production model available in dealerships, enhancing torque and horsepower. The move is part of Kawasakis strategy to keep the Ninja ZX-6R competitive in the global racing series. I believe this update will make the bike even more appealing to both track and street riders.

The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will feature several key updates, including a bi-directional quick shifter (KQS) as standard, which allows for clutchless upshifts and downshifts, enhancing both performance and stability. Additionally, the bike will benefit from improved suspension tuning and more precise cornering capabilities. These updates are designed to make the ZX-6R a superior choice for both track and street use. I think these changes will significantly improve the riding experience, especially for those who frequently switch between street and track riding.

For the 2024 model year, the Kawasaki ZX-6R has been optimized for more road-focused performance, with revised engine internals that shift power from the top-end to the low-to-mid RPM range. This adjustment is largely due to stricter emissions standards, particularly in Europe. The bike also features new circular brake rotors and a 4.3-inch TFT color display. I believe these changes make the ZX-6R more practical for everyday riding while still offering enough performance for track enthusiasts.

The 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R is the last remaining 600cc supersport bike that meets Euro 5 emissions standards, making it unique in its class. It boasts a 636cc engine producing 122 hp at 13,000 rpm and features advanced technologies like Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) and a Showa SFF-BP fork. The bikes design has also been updated with new LED headlights and a reshaped air intake. I think this bike is a great option for those who want a blend of street comfort and track performance.

Kawasaki has introduced new front fairing styling for the 2024 ZX-6R, including new LED headlights, a reshaped air intake, and a more pronounced spoiler. The bike also features a new 4.3-inch TFT color display and standard round front brake discs replacing the old petal-style discs. These updates give the ZX-6R a more contemporary look and improved functionality. I believe these aesthetic and functional changes will appeal to both new and existing fans of the Ninja series.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 03:09 AM
The mileage of the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is not its strongest suit, which is typical for a high-performance supersport bike. With its powerful 636cc engine, the ZX-6R is designed for speed and agility rather than fuel efficiency. In city riding conditions, you can expect a mileage of around 10-12 kmpl, while on the highway, it might slightly improve to around 15-18 kmpl. However, these numbers can vary significantly based on riding style, traffic conditions, and how aggressively you ride the bike. For riders who prioritize performance over fuel efficiency, the ZX-6Rs mileage will be a minor trade-off for the exhilarating experience it offers. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R continues to impress in the middleweight supersport category. Its 636cc engine offers a broader powerband than typical 600cc bikes, making it more versatile for street use. Track performance is exemplary with razor-sharp handling and strong brakes. However, the aggressive ergonomics may deter some road-oriented riders.
Its look is awesome, its sound is also like a monster, and, super fast but it's maintenance cost is so high. It is cost is not so high according to the features on it such as a powerful engine of 1400 cc, its arrow dynamic shape and at last the company of the bike is Kawasaki. If you want to buy a superbike and your budget is above 190000 then you should buy it.
This bike's acceleration is good and its handling is beautiful this bike's color is very beautiful and its handling is very comfortable. Its backlight is beautiful. This bike tyre is good griping on the road. Riding experience is good. And it's performance is good but this bike parts easily not in the market.
It is not a bike, It is a monster running on wheels. It is a computer in its own as it provides that features that no any bike in this range or above it provide. You can think about its power from the fact that you can do wheelies without using of clutch by just using a throttle.
Excellent pickup & braking one should bye one zx10r
