Our take on this /// Verdict
The Kawasaki KLX450R is a formidable off-road motorcycle that caters specifically to the needs of advanced and intermediate off-road riders. With its powerful 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine and a lightweight aluminum chassis, this bike is designed to handle the toughest off-road terrains. The suspension system, comprising a 48mm inverted AOS type telescopic fork and a Uni-Trak monoshock, provides excellent handling and stability. However, the bikes stiff ride quality and tall seat height may be a concern for some riders. Despite being priced at a premium, the KLX450Rs performance, handling, and features make it a top choice for those serious about off-road riding. It is not street legal, which limits its use to private tracts of land or off-road courses, but for its intended purpose, it is hard to beat.
Price
The Kawasaki KLX450R is priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, which places it in the premium segment of off-road motorcycles. When considering the on-road price, it varies by city due to different state taxes and other local charges. For instance, in Bangalore, the on-road price is around Rs. 11.11 lakh, while in Mumbai it is approximately Rs. 10.38 lakh. The high price is justified by the bikes advanced features, powerful engine, and high-quality suspension, making it a worthwhile investment for serious off-road enthusiasts. However, for casual riders or those on a tighter budget, the price might be a significant deterrent.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 03:13 AM
The mileage of the Kawasaki KLX450R is not a primary concern for off-road enthusiasts, as this bike is designed for performance rather than fuel efficiency. It is reported to deliver a mileage of around 23 kmpl, which is reasonable given its powerful engine and off-road focus. Since the bike is not intended for street use, the mileage is more of a secondary consideration compared to its off-road capabilities. For riders who plan to use the KLX450R extensively in off-road conditions, the fuel tank capacity of 8 liters should provide sufficient range without frequent refueling.
