Discussions and Questions - Maruti Maruti - Page 9
Does the Super Carry’s bare bones interior have any impact on driver comfort on long hauls?
30 December 2024 07:57
It's all about expectations. It’s rough if you’re coming from a car. It’s not bad at all if you’re used to old school trucks.
Now we find out if the Maruti Super Carry is really 'super' at carrying stuff.
30 December 2024 07:57
Super? Nah. Adequate? Yeah. I didn't know an average Joe could be called Superman, that sets unrealistic expectations.
How does the Super Carry cope in tight city spaces compared to bigger trucks?
30 December 2024 07:57
Perfect for city deliveries. I’ve driven into alleys that I didn’t think were big enough to drive through.
Is the trade off in power with the Super Carry's fuel efficiency worth it?
30 December 2024 07:57
It's all about the CNG version. They are crazy cheap to run and the power loss isn't as noticeable as you might think.
How does the running cost of the Ertiga CNG variant compare with that of its electric alternative?
30 December 2024 07:50
The electric cars are improving very fast. In a few years, they will take over CNG on all fronts.
Are people really right when they say Maruti Ertiga is unsafe?
30 December 2024 07:50
It depends on your usage, I think. For city driving, it's fine. I wouldn't take it on highways at high speeds, but I would use it.
So why is the Ertiga so popular with these taxi services, when it has so many limitations?
30 December 2024 07:50
It is a huge factor of reliability. These cars can run lakhs of kilometers without any major problems.
Is its body roll such that the Ertiga is not suitable for highway travel?
30 December 2024 07:50
Appropriate tire pressure and not overloading the vehicle can cut down the body roll by a lot.
Is the third row in the Ertiga really usable, or just a gimmick?
30 December 2024 07:50
The big difference that the sliding second row makes to allow the third row to be used.
Could the Eeco be a cult classic, like the VW Bus?
30 December 2024 07:45
Never say never! Sometimes the cars we take for granted now become classics later. In fact, the Eeco's ubiquity might be to its advantage – it might become the quintessential Indian vehicle of its era.
Is the Eeco the ultimate 'jugaad' car?
30 December 2024 07:45
Absolutely! The Eeco is jugaad on wheels. What makes it its superpower is its simplicity. With some basic tools and imagination you can turn it into pretty much anything. It’s the best platform to showcase Indian ingenuity.
Is the Eeco a reflection of India's automotive priorities?
30 December 2024 07:45
That's why the Eeco's popularity shows there's a huge market for basic, affordable transportation in India that other manufacturers aren't meeting. Rather than blaming the buyers, we should be asking why there aren’t better options in this price range.
Maruti has not updated Eeco’s design significantly in over a decade, why?
30 December 2024 07:45
Why fix what ain't broke? The Eeco is a simple and functional design. I think it would basically just make it more expensive and without much added value. It's cheap and does the job, people buy it for that reason, not for how it looks.
Is the Maruti Eeco the most versatile vehicle in India in disguise?
30 December 2024 07:45
Absolutely! Indian roads have a Swiss Army knife called the Eeco. This is cheap, it's reliable and you can do pretty much whatever you want with it. Some I've seen them turned into mobile shops, ambulances, and even a mini RV. For those who enjoy DIY, it’s the perfect blank canvas.
Will the improved safety and features of the new Dzire kill the compact SUV trend?
30 December 2024 07:40
It has the safety and features of an SUV, without a boat to tow it… and all in a hatchback that won’t kill your gas mileage. I see it appealing to the city dwellers that want the feature but don’t require the bulk of an SUV. It could be a game changer in metros.
Are all these new features in the Dzire risking Maruti's reliability reputation?
30 December 2024 07:40
It's a necessary risk. They can’t keep selling the same old tech forever. It should be fine as long as they keep their service network.
Is the new Maruti Dzire's 5 star safety rating too good to be true?
30 December 2024 07:40
Maruti should have stepped up their safety game a long time ago. I am cautiously optimistic but lets see if they actually bring this 5 star version to India without jacking up the price.
Can the new Dzire's premium features kill the 'value-for-money' appeal that made it popular?
30 December 2024 07:40
These fancy features are not going to drive the price up and the maintenance costs! However, the Dzire should stick to what it does best: being a no nonsense, reliable family car.
Is the new design of Dzire too 'Audi-like' for its own good?
30 December 2024 07:40
I'm all for it if the build quality is up to the looks. If it's not just a fancy facade on a budget car, it'll be a disappointment.
So, is the Celerio X's three star GNCAP rating a safer bet than newer rivals?
30 December 2024 07:36
The rating applies to the whole range, including the lower variants, of the Celerio X. In fact, the top spec X with added safety features could actually be even safer.
