Are people really right when they say Maruti Ertiga is unsafe?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
For families and taxi services in India, the Maruti Ertiga has been a certainly popular car but people have been debating a lot about its safety features and build quality. Some other users praise its comfort and practicality but say that even at moderate speeds, there’s a lot of body roll reported as well. This discussion has been fueled by the recent 1 star NCAP rating. Are safety concerns overblown, or should potential buyers really think twice? So, let’s try to understand if Ertiga’s popularity is justified with its safety concerns in different perspective.

They forget that it's more important to drive safely than have your car's safety features.

I can say it is comfortable and reliable as a taxi driver. I have never had an issue with safety.

Newer models have had the safety tech improved. Old data is not fair to judge on.

It depends on your usage, I think. For city driving, it's fine. I wouldn't take it on highways at high speeds, but I would use it.

It's all relative. At the price point and fuel efficiency, you can't expect tank like build quality.

Are you kidding? That speaks for itself, a 1 star NCAP rating. It's a death trap on wheels.

I've driven an Ertiga for years without any problem. The body roll thing is exaggerated by people.
