Will the improved safety and features of the new Dzire kill the compact SUV trend?

The compact SUV segment has taken off in India at the cost of traditional sedans such as the Dzire. Compact SUVs have lured in many buyers for their perceived safety, higher seating position and feature rich packages. But with the new Dzire reportedly being a 5 star safety rated car with ADAS and a more premium feel, it has chipped away at many of the advantages compact SUVs have been touting. The question then arises whether better equipped, safer sedans such as the new Dzire could restart the pendulum from the sedan body style, given their generally better fuel efficiency and lower price point than compact SUVs.
