The YZF-R15S, based on the v3.0 model, was launched on November 17, 2021, offering a flatter single seat and different tail lamp and rear mudguard compared to the standard R15 v3.0. This variant was aimed at riders who prefer a more comfortable seating arrangement. I think this was a good move to cater to a broader range of rider preferences.

Yamaha launched the YZF-R15 v4.0 in India on September 21, 2021, which included features like Traction Control (TCR) and a quick-shifter. This model also retained the Deltabox frame and saw no significant changes in mechanical specifications but added advanced features. The YZF-R15 v3.0 also saw the launch of a streetfighter variation called the MT-15 in India on January 8, 2018. Unlike other markets, the Indian version of the MT-15 used a conventional telescopic fork instead of an inverted one. This move was likely to keep costs in check while maintaining the bikes overall performance. I think this was a smart move by Yamaha to cater to different segments of the market.

In 2017, Yamaha introduced the YZF-R15 v3.0, which included a new 155.1 cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. guys i have r15 2.0 it,s not comfortable on riding and back seat worst it,s 2 high old man ,ladies and fat people not seating comfortable ....and it,s milage are 27 in city 36 in highway but looks are great ....

Yamaha is playing with Indian youth nothing else.. if they would have launched fz before ... same mistake these fools are repeating this time when most bike maker has already launched 200 and 250 cc, it still trying to cover the market with fucking 150 cc with 17 BHP lol... i would like to say wake up YAMAHA before you realize that its too late to stay here in Indian market..

@sabari vignesh, I don't think so but what I saw is that, the rear appears to bend more if a heavy weighted person sits on the rear, as when my frnd who weighs more than 70 kg, I observed that the rear part comes down, it's almost touching the mudguard, . . So I think it might be right. . .
is it true that in version 2.0, the pillion load should not be greater than 70kg??? plz reply quickly.....?!
