Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

Yamaha FZ V3 Review
Detailed Review by Maxabout Team
Overview
The updated BS6-compliant model of the Yamaha FZ V3 was launched in India back in November 2019. Currently, the bike is available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1,13,700. The motorcycle remains unchanged in terms of its design traits. ‘FZ’ has been an iconic brand of Yamaha products and it is one of the reasons that it received the BS6-engine upgrade so early.
Yamaha FZ V3 Design & Style
The 2023 Yamaha FZ V3 is leaned forward that creates a massive design and expresses the bike more vibrantly. This design was achieved by harmonising the fuel tank design with its pushed forward look, its compact tail assembly, and its short muffler. The all-new LED headlight on the motorcycle provides superb visibility over a wide range. It uses a reflector with ideal light projection and separate bulbs for high and low beams. The newly designed muffler protector adds up to the sharpness of the bike.
Yamaha FZ V3 Engine & Gearbox
Mechanically, the FZ V3 gets a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected BS6-compliant engine that churns out 12.4 HP of maximum power at 7250 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.3 Nm at 5500 rpm. Comparing it with its BS4 variant the power of the BS6 compliant model is dropped by 0.8HP while its torque is increased by 0.8Nm. The engine of the motorcycle comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. After the engine upgrades, the FZ V3 is now more refined.
Yamaha FZ V3 Instrument Console
The 2023 model of the Yamaha FZ V3 gets a full display negative LCD instrument cluster. The instrument display gets a black background with white lettering. Digital speedometer, bar-style tachometer above, and a fuel gauge are constantly displayed, along with ABS warning lamp while the odometer, two trip metres, clock, and others can be selected for display. There is also an ECO indicator to enable more fuel-efficient riding.
Yamaha FZ V3 Dimensions, Mileage & Top Speed
The BS6-compliant Yamaha FZ V3 measures 1990mm in length, 780mm in width, and 1080mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 165mm along with a wheelbase of 1330mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 135kg. The mileage of this motorcycle stands at around 45-50 kmpl. It can attain a top speed of up to 115 kmph (approximate). It is a city commuter motorcycle that does well on highways as well.
Yamaha FZ V3 Brakes & Suspension
The 2023 Yamaha FZ V3 rides on a diamond frame. The suspension duties of the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a lightweight monoshock at the rear. The rear monoshock on the bike provides excellent shock-absorbing performance and provides great stability while braking. It provides 120mm of wheel travel that is tuned for a good balance between the spring rate and damping force. The braking performance of the bike is handled by disc brakes at either end. It is paired to single-channel ABS. The tyres of the motorcycle offer low rolling resistance and deliver good fuel economy with a good grip.
Yamaha FZ V3 Colours & Graphics
The New Yamaha FZ V3 is available in two colour options: Racing Blue, and Metallic Black. In terms of graphics, the bike remains the same as its BS4 counterpart. It has a single piece two-level seat that works well with an upright relaxed riding position.
Verdict and Competitors of Yamaha FZ V3
The 2023 Yamaha FZ has a powerful FI engine that provides you with enhanced performance and mileage. The lower engine fairing of the bike has now been introduced to reduce mud and dirt splatter. The under-cowl of the bike has been designed to enhance the sporty look of the bike. The rider can keep riding the bike all day long. It is a considerable option when it comes to daily commutes or a ride on highways. Yamaha FZ competes in the Indian market with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer 150, Honda Unicorn 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the Hero Xtreme 160R.

User Reviews for Yamaha FZ
A damn good street fighter
The bike appeals to riders of all ages. Beginner-friendly bike. The power delivery doesn't scare you but has enough oomph. Capable to cruise at 100 kmph . You can roam in the city even at 5th gear. At around 4k rpm you can feel the torque rush. Very comfortable seat( both Rider and pillion ). Mileage is great for a 250cc (33 and 40kmpl at city and highway respectively) Although lightweight, it gives you a big bike feel due to the fuel tank. Instrument console could have been bigger but you will get used to it. Headlamp illumination is ok for city use although being an LED. Auxiliary lamps would help it for highway rides at night The suspension is set towards comfort side Tyres although wide enough, not recommended for hardcore cornering. Pricing is the BOMB here. It's cheaper than R15 and MT 15.
Best Features: Looks, Pricing
Pros: Toque rush , Mileage , Exhaust note
Cons: Instrument console, Tyres
Reliability of a Japanese machine.
made by Yamaha. It's Japanese, end of the argument. Yes, there are other cool bikes in the price range. But This machine will keep running while other brands bikes are guaranteed to blow up at some point since that seems to be happening everywhere.
Best Features: Fat sexy tyres, Yamaha badging.
Pros: Well built quality & refined engine. Fat rear tyres
Cons: Boring instrument console.
FZ25 is a good bike at this price range
On papers, it looks pale but has very nice acceleration because of light weight.
Best Features: Acceleration
Pros: 250 cc bike at this price
Cons: No ABS, even not as option
Boycott Yamaha FZ25
Suddenly I noticed a review video on YouTube about headlight and instrument console. Yamaha shows that their focus is on money and performance. The instrument console is so odd that Hero Glamour's console is much better than this one.
Best Features: 46 teeth sprocket
Pros: looks, handling.
Cons: low hp, worst headlight, stupid instrument console
A Good Option, But strictly for Yamaha fans!
The Yamaha FZ25 is a very decent offering, a first of a kind in the segment. It is powered by a 249 cc engine which generates a maximum power of 20.69 bhp @ 8000 rpm and gives out a maximum torque of 20 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Also being priced at INR 1,19,500 ( ex-showroom Delhi ) it is a pretty affordable value for money option. Although the bike is no match for the performance of Benelli TNT 25 in the 250 cc segment, it costs 60K less then it's Benelli rival.Yamaha FZ25 is strictly for the fans of the brand and the followers of Yamaha FZ series. Other features such as LED headlamps and tail lamps add to the value of the bike. But I believe that the bike could have been made to look a little bulkier just like the classic FZ-16. All in all the bike does not disappoint either at this price.
Best Features: Digital Instrument Console, Oil cooled Fi Technology Engine, LED Headlamps
Pros: Pricing, Fi Technology, Digital Instrument Console, Mileage
Cons: Lack of an ABS, Less Than Bulky Looks, Performance not upto the mark
