Yamaha MT-09 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Made exclusively for the thrill seekers, the Yamaha MT-09 is a high-performance naked motorcycle build on modern technology. With certain cosmetic changes in comparison to its elder MT-10, the naked street fighter has changed the course of aggressive riding and superior handling. The twin -eye LED forefront demands attention from the crowd and stands it at the more sharper corner. With a 3-cylinder engine at its heart, the Yamaha MT-09 competes in the market with the likes of Kawasaki Z900, Suzuki GSX-S750 and Triumph Street Triple in its segment.
Coming to the engine specifications, the Yamaha MT-09 is powered by an 847 cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valves engine that is capable of producing a refined power of 113.4 Bhp @ 10000 rpm and an utmost torque of 87.5 Nm @ 8500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and supports a wet, multiple disc clutch. The linear torque is perfect for offering an exciting ride. It is available in India as a CBU(completely built unit). The authentic MT series sharper design and compact dimensions give the bike a sporty stance while the minimal bodywork looks classic.
Ultra sharp look with a shorter tail, the Yamaha MT-09 gets a 298 mm Hydraulic dual disc brakes at the front and 245 mm Hydraulic single disc brake at the rear. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a Link type suspension at the rear. The crowd waiting to move up the displacement ladder to more than 800cc engine are the superior customers of this street bike. With the claimed speed of 225 kmph, the Yamaha MT-09 is no less than a beast and performs like one.
The kerb weight of 193 kgs and a ground clearance of 135 mm, the bike offers superior and exceptional handling even at the corners. The Assist and Slipper clutch offers a faster ride and lets the rider communicate with the machine extensively. The Yamaha MT-09 is available in the market in Matte Dark Gray, Deep Purplish Blue, Bluish Gray Solid shades.

User Reviews for Yamaha MT
The Overall Design of the Bike Is Quite Sleek
I have been using the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 for the past 25 days and it has been an absolute blessing. The speed and acceleration it offers is truly phenomenal and the mileage I have been getting in the city is around 35km/litre, which is quite impressive. The build quality is top-notch and the overall design of the bike is quite sleek. The suspension and handling are excellent, making it a great choice for both city and highway driving. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for an affordable yet reliable ride.
The riding posture on the bike is good, however, the suspension could be stiffer
The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is a great bike for those looking for a power-packed performance. It's powered by a 155cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19.3 Bhp and 14.7 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that helps in providing good performance. The riding posture on the bike is good, however, the suspension could be stiffer as it doesn't absorb bumps very well. The handling of the bike is good and it handles quite well in heavy traffic, especially since it's a naked bike. However, if comfort is your main priority, then this might not be the bike for you.
A Practical and Powerful Ride
The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is equipped with a single-channel ABS system that provides an added layer of protection. This system helps to reduce the braking distance and improve the stability of the bike. The raised handlebar and more conventional riding position of the bike makes it suitable for daily commuting. The bike also features a host of other features such as Bluetooth connectivity, a multifunctional LCD display, and multiple riding modes. All these features make the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 a great option for those looking for a practical and powerful ride.
Yamaha has taken the 155cc segment to the next level
After the launch of MT-15 Version 2.0, Yamaha has taken the 155cc segment to the next level. The MT-15 Version 2.0 comes with a refined design that is both attractive and aerodynamic. The engine is powerful and efficient, and it is also lightweight, making it easy to handle. Moreover, the price point makes it a great option in the segment. All in all, Yamaha has done a great job of creating a comprehensive package with the MT-15 Version 2.0. If you're looking for a stylish and powerful bike in the 155cc segment, then the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is definitely worth considering.
