The latest update that TVS Motor has no plan to produce the motorcycle, and this information was revealed through the official Instagram page of the company. Speaking of the TVS Zeppelin concept, the model exhibited at Auto Expo 2018 was equipped with a first-of-its-kind powertrain. Powering the Zeppelin concept was the 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine supported by an electric motor. This 1200W assist motor was combined with a 48V Li-ION battery. This bike was also kitted with TVS’ patented Integrated Starter Generator.

Tuesday, 12 November 2024 10:54 AM The TVS Zeppelin R, a highly anticipated cruiser bike, is expected to launch in India, although the exact launch date remains uncertain. The bike is set to feature a 220cc single-cylinder engine, producing 20 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 18.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm of torque. It will also include a mild-hybrid technology, a first in its segment. I believe this tech will make the Zeppelin R a compelling option for those looking for a blend of performance and efficiency.
Sunday, 10 November 2024 04:48 PM TVS Motor has recently clarified that there are no immediate plans to produce the TVS Zeppelin 220, contrary to earlier speculations. This announcement was made through the companys official social media channels. The concept model showcased at Auto Expo 2018 had generated significant interest, but it seems fans will have to wait longer. I think this delay might be a strategic move to refine the product further.
Friday, 15 September 2023 10:57 AM The TVS Zeppelin R is speculated to be priced around Rs 1.50 lakh in India, making it a competitive entry in the cruiser bike segment. The bike will feature a liquid-cooled engine, a 20-liter fuel tank, and an impressive mileage of 44 kmpl. With its low-slung design and wider seat, it is expected to attract buyers looking for comfort and style. I believe the pricing will be a key factor in its success, as it will directly compete with models like the Jawa 42 and Royal Enfield Meteor.
Monday, 20 June 2022 03:55 PM The TVS Zeppelin 220 concept, showcased at Auto Expo 2018, featured a unique powertrain with a 220cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine supported by an electric motor and a 48V Li-ION battery. Although this concept was well-received, there has been no confirmation on whether these features will make it to the production model. I think incorporating such innovative technology would significantly enhance the bikes appeal.
Monday, 06 June 2022 06:04 AM TVS Zeppelin R is expected to boast several segment-first features, including USD front forks and a hybrid fuel system. The bikes design, with its typical low-slung seating and belt-drive option in the concept form, suggests a focus on comfort and quiet riding experience. However, the production version might opt for a chain-based system for cost-effectiveness. I believe these features will set the Zeppelin R apart from its competitors.

TVS Zeppelin 220 Review

15 Feb, 2019 05:47 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

TVS Zeppelin is the most interesting product that they showcased at Auto Expo 2018. As they follow the same rule by showing a concept at Auto Expo and bringing a production version between the next two years, Zeppelin will be launched before the next Auto Expo for sure. The concept is using a 220cc, single cylinder engine and power values are yet to be revealed. The engine segment places it right against Bajaj Avenger 220 but TVS has kept benchmarks higher with premium features on Zeppelin 220.

Starting from its tyres, Zeppelin features spoke wheels with disc brakes at both ends. Front features golden USD forks, most probably shared with their range-topping Apache RR 310. The forks are aligned in a cruiser specific manner and thus, extended wheelbase is clearly visible on Zeppelin 220. They are using all new headlight, fuel tank and seating arrangement for Zeppelin 220, making it feel different from every TVS motorcycle manufactured till date. E-boost feature on the motorcycle may not enter production but under concept form, it was said to offer additional power on demand to the rider.

Above all, TVS used belt drive for a quiet riding experience and could be the first manufacturer of its kind to offer this feature. If all these features are here to stay, the price tag will be quite higher than one expects but, in reality, TVS may skip some of them to get a price tag under INR 1.35 lakh. This way, their target audience will change from Bajaj Avenger to Royal Enfield Classic 350. Also, present generation UM motorcycles will rival Zeppelin to create a long list of cruiser options around this price tag. Zeppelin 220 will carry LED lights and various segment first features and robust built quality from TVS that others may not offer here.
