Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Bajaj Avenger 220 is an ideal choice for a budget-friendly cruiser that offers great performance and an attractive design. It packs a punchy 220 cc engine which offers great power and torque output, making it perfect for cruising around town. The low seat height makes it ideal for shorter riders, while the low maintenance cost makes it easy to own and maintain. The Bajaj Avenger 220 is an excellent option for those who want a stylish and powerful cruiser with a decent budget.

Latest Updates

Recent news and announcements

The Bajaj Avenger 220 BS6 retains its classic cruiser design but comes with some fresh updates, including new color options such as metallic blue and matte black. The bike features a refined 220cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 18.7 bhp of power at 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The suspension is managed by telescopic forks at the front and twin hydraulic spring suspension at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride. I think these updates make the Avenger 220 a compelling choice for cruiser enthusiasts.

A cruiser bike named the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is only offered in two colors. The 220cc BS6 motor that powers the Bajaj Vindicator Journey 220 generates 18.76 horsepower and 17.55 Nm of thrust. Bajaj Vindicator Voyage 220 creates a stopping system that is hostile to locking with front plate and back drum brakes. The Avenger Cruise 220 motorcycle weighs 163 kilos and has a 13-liter gasoline tank.

Harley of India

Summary

Recently one of my friend has purchased Avenger 220, the look of the bike speaks it all, its just look like you are riding a Harley Davidson.
Recently one of my friend has purchased Avenger 220, the look of the bike speaks it all, its just look like you are riding a Harley Davidson. The comfort, looks and efficiency which this motorcycle gives is quite similar to Harley Davidson. It is quite affordable as compared to Royal Enfield Thunderbird. It offers in similar performance but costs much less. This bike is not for beginners, it needs to be handled efficiently. It has a solid muscular looks. The large fuel tank confirms that you don't need to visit petrol pump frequently. The driver seat is very comfortable which makes the perfect sitting posture. If we look at its downsides, than we come to know that the build quality of this bike is not so good and, so are the rear brakes. The horn is not so noticeable in traffic which creates problem a lot.

Summary

My relation with Avenger 220 is two months old only. From the day I bring it home, it has been a wow moment for me and my friends. The style of the bike conveyed me so many compliments.
My relation with Avenger 220 is two months old only. From the day I bring it home, it has been a wow moment for me and my friends. The style of the bike conveyed me so many compliments. To be honest, its a wonderful bike that need to be handled efficiently. It is not for a beginners. The chrome plating needs to be taken care off. Balancing has never been a problem of my bike. I have never experienced fatigue after driving for almost the entire stretch of 130 km at one go. It is only because of its well cushioned rider and passenger seat with back rest. The pillion sometimes create problem for my 6-ft friend as he could not fit himself within the seat because of back rest. At times I take it to the roads with potholes or humps, I never feel discomfort but with a pillion its bottom hits ground sometime. Overall, its a smooth motorcycle with good pickup and average mileage. If you have passion to ride something different. Go for it.

The Awesome Cruiser

Summary

Dear friends... I have been looking to purchase a good bike at an affordable cost, and I always had a love for cruiser
Dear friends... I have been looking to purchase a good bike at an affordable cost, and I always had a love for cruiser, I went on to check the Avenger bikes after checking for Pulsar, Yamaha, Suzuki ... so here is not a comparison but if I like a bike from its looks it was cruiser ..(wow!!) though I liked others also but the craving to ride a cruiser and the design changes was something that was satisfied with the Avenger Cruiser 220. I checked both street and cruise both have their own set of customers..the aesthetics and chrome just blows your mind about cruise.. The engine is dtsi and similar to previous versions.. the weight and height is good enough to handle.. start is smooth and revs are good, gear shifting is smooth, though horn is less audible but its not that bad, The head turns on the road and parking lot just gives u a great feeling.. In case of some suggestion for rear discs.. I would just say that in India Price bracket is very important so to avail this bike at this rate is commendable.. I think most of the other naked bikes in commuter segment also fall a few thousand below or above.. but if you love to ride a cruiser this is it .. full stop.... go for it.. (if you are under budget of 1.5L) Most of the bikes will have pros and cons regarding their builds.. but we can select a basic bike and make changes if we like........ :) Best quote when i was parking near a temple: ( Observer: Bhai ye naya bullet hai kya ... Me: Nahi ye chotta gaadi hai .. Observer : Nahi ye to mast gaadi hai .. Me: thanks ) Ur heart beats faster when someone praises your bike.. trust me ... LoL

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price
Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges.
