The bike features a split double cradle chassis with a USD fork setup and a monoshock at the rear, ensuring a comfortable and stable ride. The TD variant comes with several advanced features such as adjustable levers, SmartXonnect, turn-by-turn navigation, and a digital cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike also boasts a silent start system, gear shift assist, and side-stand engine cutoff, enhancing the overall riding experience. Expert opinion and recommendation
The TVS Ronin TD is a compelling package that blends modern and retro elements seamlessly, making it a standout in its segment. From my experience, the bikes design and styling are impressive, garnering attention on the road. The riding posture is very comfortable, with well-placed footpegs and handlebars, and a seat height of 795mm that makes it accessible to a wide range of riders. The engine, though not built for high speeds, delivers smooth and refined performance, particularly in urban environments, thanks to its strong bottom-end torque. However, some owners have reported issues with gear shifting malfunctions and bike alignment, which TVS needs to address to enhance the overall ownership experience. Despite these minor hiccups, the Ronin TD offers excellent value for money, especially with its feature-rich TD variant that includes SmartXonnect, turn-by-turn navigation, and other convenient features.
Recent news and announcements
The TVS Ronin TD variant now features dual-channel ABS with rain and urban modes, enhancing safety and riding experience. The motorcycle also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, USD forks, and a 7-step adjustable monoshock, providing a comfortable and stable ride. I think these features make the Ronin TD a strong contender in its segment.
The TVS Ronin TD Special Edition has been launched with a new Midnight Blue color option, adding a fresh look to the range-topping variant. This edition also features fluorescent green graphics, making it a standout in the market. The price for this variant remains at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). I think this new color scheme will attract more buyers looking for a unique design.
The TVS Ronin TD and TD Special Edition variants continue to compete directly with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, with prices ranging from Rs 1.69 lakh to Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ronins pricing strategy, especially after the recent price cut, positions it as a more affordable option with similar or better features. I think this competitive pricing will help TVS gain more market share.
TVS Ronins top variant, the TD Special Edition, is equipped with advanced features such as full LED lighting, an offset single-pod digital instrument console, and Bluetooth connectivity. These features, combined with its 225.9cc SOHC 4V oil-cooled engine, make it a compelling choice for riders seeking both style and technology. I believe these features will appeal to riders who value modern amenities.
TVS Motor Company has unveiled the TVS Ronin Parakram, a special edition that pays tribute to the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas. This edition comes with custom liveries and imaging, honoring the spirit of the Indian Army. The Ronin Parakram is part of a women riders rally flagged off by the Indian Army. I believe this initiative will resonate well with patriotic buyers and enthusiasts.

Fuel efficiency information
The mileage of the TVS Ronin TD is one of its strong points, making it a practical choice for daily commutes and occasional long rides. Based on user reviews and my own observations, the bike delivers a mileage of around 40-45 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. This is quite impressive considering the bikes 225.9cc engine and the urban-centric riding it is designed for. The low-end torque and the gearing setup contribute to this efficient fuel consumption, making the Ronin TD a reliable option for those who prioritize fuel economy without compromising on performance. Expert Verdict
Professional reviews and expert opinions on TVS Ronin TD
TVS unveiled the Zeppelin concept motorcycle back in 2018 and it gathered a lot of interest from our country’s people. But the brand never launched the bike, and after a long wait of four years, TVS debuted the Ronin bike in the Indian market. The TVS Ronin has a total of three variants on offer, among which the TD variant is the top-end one.

But the brand never launched the bike, and after a long wait of four years, TVS debuted the Ronin bike in the Indian market. The TVS Ronin has a total of three variants on offer, among which the TD variant is the top-end one.
It is finished in the unique Dawn Orange and Galactic Grey shades as the other two variants. These are both triple-tone colour options and provide the bike with an elegant appearance. The first one is a combination of orange, yellow, and black, and the second one is a combination of grey, yellow and black. Different accents on the body parts of the bikes and the golden-finished USD forks make a great contrast.
The circular AHO, LED with "T" shaped signature position lamp headlight, huge fuel tank, LED tail lamp, brown/black finished seat and back pulled handlebar are some of the key features that add to the beauty of the TVS Ronin TD. The bike rides on 17-inch block tread, 9-spoke machined alloy wheels, which are first-in-segment and are one of the main enticing points of the motorcycle. These wide tyres are 110/70 front and 130/70 rear units.
Built on a double cradle split Synchro Stiff frame, the TVS Ronin TD is suspended on a 41mm USD front and mono-shock with 7-step adjustable preload rear suspension unit while the braking duties are assigned to a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The instrument cluster unit equipped on the motorcycle is a fully digital-connected unit that comes with TVS SmartXonnect technology that offers the functions of voice assist, ride planning tours and more.
The Ronin TD is powered by a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, oil-cooled, SOHC engine that comes mated with a 5-speed gearbox. This engine uses fuel injection technology and churns out 20.4 HP at 7750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. The TD variant comes with a dual-channel ABS system for enhanced protection. This engine is further supported by the Assist and Slipper Clutch and adjustable levers.
