The successor to the Suzuki Hayate, Hayate EP is one of the very famous motorcycles which target mainly the daily commuters and middle aged buyers. The engine is mated to 4-speed gearbox and has a kerb weight of 107 kgs and a fuel capacity of 10 litres.
The successor to Hayate, Hayate EP when launched, featured a series of cosmetic upgrades and technological advancements making it have quite a fan following. It competes in the market with the likes of TVS Sport, Hero HF Deluxe and Mahindra Centuro in its segment. The Suzuki Hayate EP is available in India at a starting range of INR 52,953 (ex showroom Delhi). The Suzuki Hayate EP gets a larger wheel base and a longer seat for increased comfort, 17-inch tubeless tyres for a better grip and a maintenance free battery.
It also featured preload adjustable rear suspension and drum brakes for an efficient ride. Launched in 2012, the Suzuki Hayate was known for its parametric performance and improved fuel economy with a drop in the kerb weight. Hayate EP did not get much changes, just some new paint schemes and additional decals. The bike has an impressive ground clearance of 165mm.
