Maruti Suzuki says it has exported more than 50,000 e Vitara electric SUVs since global shipments began in August 2025. All export units are built at the company’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, the model’s global manufacturing base. Shipments have reached nearly 50 countries, with Europe the largest destination.

Where the e Vitara is made and exported

Hansalpur supplies Suzuki’s first global battery-electric vehicle. Europe was the first region to receive exports and remains the largest destination. The United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Japan and Switzerland are among the principal markets identified by the company.

What the 50,000 figure measures

The milestone counts cumulative exports of the model since shipments began. It does not give the volume exported in a single month or the number delivered to Indian customers. Hansalpur’s reported plant capacity of one million vehicles a year covers the site’s vehicle production overall, including models beyond the e Vitara.

What it means for India’s EV manufacturing

Supplying several markets from one Indian facility gives Maruti Suzuki a single production base for a global model. For buyers comparing electric cars in India, the export count gives manufacturing context. Local variant pricing, delivery times, charging and warranty coverage are separate buying considerations.
