Kawasaki Ninja H2 Review

07 May, 2018 08:23 AM

Exclusive range of supercharged bikes from Kawasaki, the name H2 demands respect for its versatile nature and record shattering performance. Every bike from this segment has a unique role and buyer gets five different options to select a suitable companion. Every product is brought via CBU route and thus, prices are quite high in comparison to other liter class, non supercharged products. The range is divided in five variants namely Ninja H2, H2 Carbon, H2R, H2 SX and H2 SX SE. All five of them use the same 998cc, four cylinder supercharged engine but in different performance grades.

Ninja H2 is priced at INR 33.30 lakh. The base spec motorcycle is good for 200PS of maximum power and 133.5 Nm of class leading torque. On the other hand, H2 Carbon (INR 39.80 lakh) is good for 205PS and 133.5 Nm. Both look exactly same in terms of design while lower spec model gets body colored frame and Carbon comes with green frame. Next machine is not for faint hearted as Ninja H2R is good for 310PS at 14,000 rpm and 165 Nm at 12,500 rpm. It is even 12 kg lighter to stock Ninja H2.

Ninja H2 SX is a different league of motorcycling where buyers invest in a supercharged motorcycle for touring and get a 256kg resultant. It is good for 200PS and 137.3 Nm. H2 SX SE is even 4kg heavier with added accessories. The former is priced at INR 21.80 lakh while latter commands 26.80 lakh price tag. These two feel quite down to earth H2 cousins as they offer added practicality, same old power and much smaller price. For a shocking moment, one must remember that top spec H2R is only track legal and comes with INR 69.80 lakh price tag. Don’t worry as no registration charge adds up on H2R.
