Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda CRF190L is an intriguing addition to the adventure motorcycle segment in India, although its actual launch in the country is still speculative. If it does make its way here, it will undoubtedly be a strong contender against the Hero Xpulse 200. The CRF190Ls design, inspired by the Africa Twin, gives it a rugged and purposeful look that is well-suited for off-road adventures. With its 184cc air-cooled engine producing 17.03 hp and 15.7 Nm of torque, it offers a good balance of power and agility. The long-travel suspension, high ground clearance of 241 mm, and lightweight 145 kg curb weight make it an excellent choice for those who enjoy both on-road and off-road riding. However, its higher seat height of 830 mm might be a concern for some riders. Overall, the CRF190L promises to be a versatile and capable adventure motorcycle that could appeal to a wide range of riders.
Price
The pricing of the Honda CRF190L in India is expected to be around Rs 1.30-1.40 lakhs (ex-showroom), although this is speculative since the bike has not been officially launched here. If it follows the pricing strategy of similar models, it would be competitively priced against the Hero Xpulse 200, which is priced at Rs 1.23 lakhs (ex-showroom). The on-road price would likely be higher due to state-specific taxes and other costs, potentially ranging from Rs 1.50 lakhs to Rs 1.60 lakhs. Given its features and off-road capabilities, the CRF190L seems to offer good value for money, especially for those looking for a dedicated adventure motorcycle.

Honda has recently patented the design of the CRF190L adventure motorcycle in India, which is currently sold in China as the Honda Sundiro. This move suggests that Honda might be considering a future launch in the Indian market, although no immediate plans have been announced. The bike features a 184cc engine, 6-speed gearbox, and off-road capable specifications like 19-inch and 17-inch wire-spoke wheels. I believe this could be a strong contender in the adventure bike segment if it makes its way to India.

The Honda CRF190L, if launched in India, is expected to compete directly with the Hero XPulse 200. It boasts a single-cylinder air-cooled 184.4cc engine, similar to the CB200X and Hornet 2.0, but with a more off-road focused design, including 241mm of ground clearance and long-travel suspension. The pricing is speculated to be around Rs 1.46 lakh, similar to the CB200X. I think this bike could attract a niche market looking for serious off-road capabilities.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 09:35 AM
The Honda CRF190L is expected to deliver a mileage of around 30 kmpl, which is quite adequate for an adventure motorcycle. This mileage is based on the bikes 184cc air-cooled engine and its overall design, which is optimized for both on-road and off-road performance. While the actual mileage may vary depending on riding conditions and terrain, 30 kmpl is a reasonable estimate considering the bikes power output and weight. The fuel tank capacity of 12 litres further enhances its range, making it suitable for long-distance touring and off-road excursions. User Reviews for Honda CRF
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
The CRF uses a de-tuned Honda CBR250R engine with the benefit of more low and mid range power. Soft, user friendly delivery will help you make good ground without getting you into trouble. It’s also very quiet, ideal for trail riding
Good ergonomics, suspension and chassis means that the CRF is well balanced either on road when you’re sat down or off-road stood up. It weaves slightly at speeds over 65mph, but this could be just down to tyres.
Although the CRF has a well-padded (for an enduro...) seat and is actually pretty comfortable to ride, you won't want to log too many miles on one due to its slow speed and poor performance.
The Honda CBR250R engine of the CRF has been detuned to produce more low and midrange power. You may make progress without getting into trouble with a soft, approachable delivery. The quietness makes it perfect for trail riding.
