Honda October 2026 Domestic Sales Rise 19% to 7,609; Exports Fall

Honda Cars India's domestic sales rose 19% year on year to 7,609 vehicles in October 2026. Exports of 473 vehicles took the combined total to 8,082. The domestic recovery was stronger than the overall result: lower overseas shipments meant combined sales remained below October 2025.

Domestic volume increased by 1,215 vehicles. Exports fell by 3,651, more than offsetting that improvement. Combined sales consequently declined by 2,436 vehicles, or 23.16%, compared with the same month a year earlier.

How October compares with September

Domestic sales were also 70.41% above September 2026's 4,465 vehicles, an increase of 3,144. September exports were 2,490 and combined sales were 6,955. October's total was therefore 16.20% higher month on month even though exports fell over that interval.

The result illustrates why the comparison period and business component matter. October can show a domestic rebound, an increase in the combined monthly total over September and a decline in the combined year-on-year total at the same time.

What the result says about Honda's models

The aggregate monthly figures do not provide an individual model breakdown. They cannot establish how many Elevate, City or Amaze vehicles were sold, or quantify any one model's contribution to growth. A brand-level increase should not be turned into a model-level sales claim.

For buyers, the domestic rise offers context on Honda's Indian business, rather than a promise about local availability. Delivery timing still depends on the model, variant, colour and dealer allocation. Company sales also differ from end-customer registrations, so the two series need matching definitions before comparison.
