Latest Updates
Sunday, 15 January 2023 01:22 AM The Honda CBR250RR has become even better with its recent upgrade in Japan. It has been equipped with new shades and a more powerful engine, offering more power and torque.
Tuesday, 24 January 2023 12:35 AM Honda may discontinue the CBR250R as it does not conform to BS6 emission standards. Its global replacement is the CBR300R, which has been available for some time. The CB300R is Honda's current choice for a supersport.
Thursday, 18 July 2024 08:36 AM Rumors suggest that the 2024 Honda CBR250RR-R will feature an inline four-cylinder engine producing 55hp and revving up to 20,000 rpm, competing directly with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R. This new engine could significantly enhance the bikes performance and appeal.
Sunday, 14 July 2024 07:59 PM The 2024 Honda CBR250RR boasts a sharp, aggressive design that improves aerodynamics and handling. It is equipped with a high-revving 249cc parallel-twin engine, a 6-speed transmission, and advanced safety features like ABS and Hondas selectable torque control system. India Launch Update This may not be a piece of good news for Honda fans but the launch of CBR250RR in India is only possible via local production route. At present, the 2021 model of the sportbike is available in Japan for JPY 8,21,700 (INR 5.79 lakh, approx). An aggressive and affordable price tag via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route is not possible as placing the CBR250RR at around INR 3.75-4.00 lakh (ex-showroom) would not get the number of buyers required by Honda to keep the operations going. If Honda starts the local production of CBR250RR and manages to price the sports bike at around INR 3 lakh, only then the brand would be able to get a decent sales number in India. As of now, HMSI has not announced anything officially regarding the launch of the CBR250RR in India. The brand may consider the sports bike for the Indian market at a later stage in future.

FAQs

Most Popular FAQs for Honda CBR250
  • What is the waiting period for the Honda CBR250RR in India?

    17 April 2025 19:30

The Honda CBR250RR is unlikely to be launched in India, so there is no waiting period for this bike in the Indian market. The high price point and limited demand for a 250cc supersport bike in a price-sensitive market like India have led Honda to not plan a formal launch of the CBR250RR in the country.

  • Can you explain the difference between the Honda CBR250RR and the CBR250R?

    17 April 2025 19:30

The primary difference between the Honda CBR250RR and the CBR250R lies in their engine configuration and performance. The CBR250RR is equipped with a 249.7cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, 8-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine, producing 41 hp at 13,000 rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. In contrast, the CBR250R features a single-cylinder engine, typically a 249.6cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve unit, generating around 26.5 hp at 8,500 rpm and 22.9 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The CBR250RR also boasts advanced features such as ride-by-wire technology, three riding modes , and dual-channel ABS, which are not present in the CBR250R. Additionally, the CBR250RR has a more sophisticated suspension system with inverted telescopic forks and a Pro-Link monoshock, whereas the CBR250R usually has conventional telescopic forks and a monoshock rear suspension. The CBR250RR is designed as a more performance-oriented sport bike, while the CBR250R is positioned as a more entry-level sports bike.

  • Is the Honda CBR250RR suitable for track racing?

    17 April 2025 19:30

The Honda CBR250RR MC22 is highly suitable for track racing, particularly for beginners or those looking for a fun and challenging experience without overwhelming power. It boasts a lightweight design of 315 pounds, a high-revving 250cc four-cylinder engine that redlines at 19,000 RPM, and a robust twin-spar aluminum frame with a gull-wing swingarm, providing excellent handling and stability. Although it lacks the power of larger bikes on straights, it has sufficient power to keep up in other sections of the track, especially when kept in its powerband above 10,000 RPM. However, its original suspension and brakes may need upgrading to fully exploit its track capabilities, as the bike can dive significantly under hard braking and has poor brake feel in its stock form. With proper maintenance and upgrades, the CBR250RR MC22 can offer an exhilarating track experience with its unique sound and responsive handling.

  • Can I customize the CBR250RR?

    17 April 2025 17:45

Yes, the Honda CBR250RR can be extensively customized to enhance its performance, safety, and aesthetic appeal. Customization options include installing high-performance exhaust systems like the AKRAPOVIC Slip-On Line Exhaust and Option Header Pipe, which improve the sound and performance of the bike. You can also upgrade the brake system with components such as ACTIVE brake levers that offer adjustable positioning and foldable designs to minimize damage in case of a fall, and SUNSTAR racing brake pads and disc rotors for improved braking performance. Additional customizations can involve the installation of a quick shifter, such as the HONDA Quick Shifter, which allows for seamless gear shifts without using the clutch. Protective elements like STRIKER Guard Sliders can be added to protect the bike from impact, and accessories like DAYTONA turn signals and power supply units can enhance functionality and safety. For a more racing-oriented setup, you can install a FRP race cowl from SAITANIYA, lever guards from ZETA, and rearsets from MORIWAKI. Lighter wheels from MARCHESINI can also improve handling and maneuverability. These customizations can significantly enhance the bike's performance, safety, and personal style[2).

  • What tire pressure is suggested for the Honda CBR250RR?

    17 April 2025 13:45

The recommended tire pressure for the Honda CBR250RR is 32 PSI for the front tire and 36 PSI for the rear tire[3).

  • What type of brakes does the Honda CBR250RR feature?

    17 April 2025 13:45

The Honda CBR250RR features advanced braking systems. For the 2017 and later models, it is equipped with axially-mounted 2-piston Nissin calipers on the front with a single 310mm disc, and a single-piston Nissin caliper on the rear with a single 240mm disc. Additionally, these models come with Anti-lock Brake System to prevent the brakes from locking up during hard braking. In contrast, the older 1994 model of the CBR250RR had a different braking setup, featuring 275mm dual discs with 2-piston hydraulic calipers at the front and a 220mm single disc with a 1-piston hydraulic caliper at the rear[5>.

  • Has the Honda CBR250RR been upgraded with an ABS system?

    17 April 2025 13:45

The Honda CBR250RR has indeed been available with an Anti-Lock Braking System in various models. For non-ABS versions, it is possible to upgrade by replacing the non-ABS components with ABS-specific parts, although this involves significant modifications, including replacing the braking system components and potentially other related hardware.

  • Is Honda CBR 250 comfortable?

    17 April 2025 11:00

The Honda CBR 250R is known for its comfort, particularly in several key areas. The bike features a stylish full fairing with a windscreen that deflects oncoming wind, enhancing rider comfort during long rides. The sporting ergonomics keep the rider in a well-balanced seating position, distributing body weight across different anchor points such as the wrists, legs, and buttocks, which helps in reducing fatigue. The split seat design ensures both the rider and pillion passenger have a comfortable and thrilling experience. Additionally, the suspension system, including a telescopic front fork and a Pro-Link single-shock rear suspension, provides a smooth ride and handles various road conditions effectively. The seats are described as comfortable and spacious, with some users noting that they did not experience significant discomfort even during long rides, although a bit more cushioning could be beneficial. The liquid-cooled engine also helps in managing heat efficiently, preventing excessive heat from affecting the rider's legs, even in intense traffic conditions[5>.
