USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero XPulse 200 FI is a versatile and practical dual-sport motorcycle that excels in various conditions, making it a great option for those looking for a bike that can handle both city commuting and off-road adventures. While it may not be the most powerful bike in its class, with 19 HP and 17.35 Nm of torque, it offers sufficient power for urban riding and decent touring capabilities. The bikes handling and dynamics are excellent, and it is particularly adept at navigating rough roads and off-road terrain. However, there are some drawbacks, such as the lack of a 6th gear, which can be felt on highways, and the need for better brake performance, especially with a pillion rider. Despite these, the XPulse 200 FIs overall package, including its fuel efficiency, ground clearance, and robust build, makes it a compelling choice for those seeking a reliable and capable dual-sport bike.
Price
The Hero XPulse 200 FI is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price typically ranges between 1.25 lakh to 1.35 lakh, depending on the region and any additional features or variants. On-road prices, including registration, insurance, and other costs, can range from 1.45 lakh to 1.60 lakh. This pricing makes the XPulse 200 FI an attractive option for buyers looking for a dual-sport bike that offers good value for money. The cost is justified by the bikes robust build, advanced features like LED head and tail lamps, and a comprehensive warranty of 5 years or 75,000 km, whichever comes first.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 13 November 2024 12:53 AM The Hero XPulse 200 has seen a price hike, with the current price now standing at Rs. 115,230 (ex-showroom, Delhi), an increase of Rs. 1,500. This adjustment reflects the ongoing market dynamics and production costs. I believe this slight price increase wont deter enthusiasts, given the bikes popularity and capabilities.
Saturday, 29 July 2023 04:53 PM Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the Xtreme 200S 2V, focusing instead on the Xtreme 200S 4V and other larger motorcycles. This move indicates the companys strategy to emphasize more powerful and feature-rich models. I think this shift will help Hero MotoCorp stay competitive in the market, especially with the upcoming launch of new models like the Karizma XMR 210.
Friday, 08 October 2021 12:09 PM Hero MotoCorp has recently launched the XPulse 200 4V, which features a four-valve cylinder head, offering more engine refinement and better performance. This update includes revised gear ratios and new color options, enhancing the overall riding experience. I think this upgrade will appeal to both off-road enthusiasts and casual riders looking for improved power and efficiency.
Friday, 26 February 2021 01:52 PM The Hero XPulse 200 has been a hit in Kerala, with sales crossing 10,000 units in the state. This success underscores the bikes appeal as an affordable and capable adventure motorcycle. I believe the XPulse 200s popularity in Kerala is a testament to its design and performance, making it a favorite among motorcycling enthusiasts.
Wednesday, 01 May 2019 12:34 AM The Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T were launched in India, marking a significant entry into the adventure motorcycle segment. The XPulse 200 is priced competitively, starting at Rs. 94,000, and is available in two variants, each tailored for different riding preferences. I believe these bikes have set a new standard for affordable adventure motorcycles in India.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 10:22 PM The fuel efficiency of the Hero XPulse 200 FI is one of its strong points. In mixed city and highway conditions, I have consistently achieved around 40 kmpl, which is quite impressive for a bike in this category. When ridden aggressively, the mileage can drop to around 30 kmpl, but maintaining a sane riding pace can easily yield over 500 km on a full tank. The fuel-injected engine contributes to better fuel efficiency compared to the carbureted version, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and long-distance touring. Quite agile and throttle-happy

As a proud owner of the BS6 2020 Xpulse 200, I can confidently say that it has been a great experience so far. The good part has only gotten better with time and I have no complaints apart from a faulty fuel pump issue which got resolved under the warranty. The only downside I faced is that, being a rider on the heavier side (weighing 100+kg), it is difficult to carry a pillion. Riding into a pothole or a speed breaker causes the lower portion of the bike to grind the asphalt or the paved surface of the trail. But apart from that, for trail riding and touring solo, the Xpulse 200 is quite agile and throttle-happy. I love this bike and I am planning to upgrade to the Xpulse 300/400 if the company gives the green light for commercial production. Cheers!

Great value for money

I’m really happy with my XPulse 200. I’ve used it on highways, cities, and off-roads, and it’s been great in all scenarios. The mileage is great, the comfort is great, and it’s definitely a mighty bike. I’ve recommended it to many of my friends, and around 7 or 8 of them have ended up buying the bike too.

The XPulse is the best vehicle for on-roading and off-roading. Its road grip is awesome and it’s budget-friendly. The only issue I’ve had so far is that it needs some fine tuning with the chain settings and clutch settings. But overall, it’s a great value for money.

Great performance on off-road trails

Xpulse 200 is a great ADV bike and offers great performance on off-road trails. The power output is strong enough for highway use and is quite capable. The bike is quite comfortable and the ground clearance is quite good. The mileage is good at 40 km/l and the maintenance costs can be a bit high but overall it's a great bike. The only issue that I have encountered is the chain sprocket problem, rear suspension leaking and engine overheating issues. But overall, the Xpulse 200 is a great bike and I would highly recommend it.

Really satisfied with the overall performance

I have been using the Hero XPulse 200 4v for more than 8 months now, and have been really satisfied with the overall performance. Initially I did face some engine heat issues, but after the third service, the problem was taken care of. I also decided to modify my seat, and I must say, it has made my riding experience much more comfortable.

In terms of mileage, the Hero XPulse 200 4v is one of the best in its price range. It has been consistently delivering a good mileage on a regular basis, which has been a major plus point for me.

Great average in the 200cc

The Hero XPulse 200 has great average in the 200cc segment and its headlight power has been increased. However, it still falls short of being a completely off-road capable machine. The built quality of the bike is good and the mileage is also commendable. All in all, the Hero XPulse 200 is a great bike for long rides and adventures, especially for those on a budget.
